Maybe I should join the Navy, get thrown into a POW camp, and become a senator myself then!!!!!!
But, I must do it all within four years to rub it in the old-mans face.

I don't know why you think McCain is guaranteed the presidency. The campaigning has barely begun and EVERYTHING is stacked against McCain. Negative ads bring Obama's numbers down temporarily, but they won't stay there in the face of a concerted rebuttal by the opposition, which is not yet really happening. Things won't even begin to be interesting until after the conventions and the big spend really begins. I don't think anything short of a nuclear blast in a US city could win this election for McCain, and I have my doubts about even that, given the inevitable display of incompetence by the Bushies that would accompany such an event.
Anyone else find it remarkable that the powers-that-be finally solved the anthrax case only months before the election, and that the perp just happened to "kill himself" before they could put him on trial?
The terror red alerts ought to start up any day now.
In short, the GOP is already resorting to their most desperate tactics, and the general election campaign hasn't even really gotten started. There have been no debates, no vice presidential announcements, and most importantly, no negative ads against McCain. Meanwhile, even the press, who have always been so supportive of McCain and blind to his obvious faults, are starting to wake up nd smell the coffee. More than a few national journalists have publicly expressed dismay at his earlier treatment in the wake of the tactics recently deployed by his campaign.
I think Obama is still in a VERY strong position for this election. I just hope he vastly exceeds my expectations or it won't really matter to the country. Another president sitting in the center-right on domestic issues is NOT what this country needs.

The latest indicator that McCain is going to be president is in the way the media is covering the Georgian attack on the separatist province of South Ossetia. The Mainstream Media is covering McCain's comments on the "attack by Russia" more than they are covering any comments made by the chimp himself (our president) and by far more than any comments made by the "vacationing" Obama. Russia is not attacking Georgia it is retaliating against an attack by Georgia - which by the way has about 150 US "military advisors" in the country.
When Obama went on an international tour to meet heads of state the media billed it as Obama trying to catch up on foreign policy experience. They could just as easily have billed it as Obama being welcomed by the international community - which he was. Europeans showed up in droves to see the man.
Now it's all about this "tough stance" that McCain is taking against an allegedly belligerent Russia. They may be belligerent, but Russia did not initiate the military attack, they are responding to an attack with US backing by Georgia and I believe that Bush is largely being quiet about it to allow McCain to shine and show his alleged foreign policy experience. Subtle tilt by the corporate backed "liberal" media.

Well, all earlier thoughts about politics aside, this is my play....
McCain=War=Civil War=US being split up.
So much for United We Stand.
Anywho, did anyone see those meteor showers last night?

yeah, it's over... just saw an ABC report.... they have McCain issuing orders for Condoleeza Rice and then they contrast with Obama playing golf. hahaha. Obama needs to get the fuck out of vacation if he expects any chance of winning....
For Obama's part the man needs to grow some balls and start hacking away at the republicans on all the crimes they've been commiting. The reality is that this country has been hijacked by a group of straight up crimminals and war crimminals.
