as ROTW, I feel the urge to get out of this city and go to Boston and ride that city for a few days at the end of the month.
Does anyone have, and be willing to lend, a bag or box so that I can fly my fixie with me? The reusable kind preffered, and of course if anyone knows a slick way to beat the extra fare$ the airlines want to charge me for this?

Talk to REI or Helens. They ship bikes all the time and will use or give you the bike boxes that they receive brand new bikes in. No they aren't the 3-$500 hard shell boxes but they work well enough for the 7-$10k bikes that the shops sell. They can also tell you $$ for shipping. I believe its between $55-85.00 depending on where its going.
Where are you going in Boston? I was just there and rode with Quad cycles in Arlington Heights. Tried finding Scul but had no luck. Very illusive.
