Eddie,
You can also sign up for your local freecycle.org if you haven't already.

Motorola made versions of the RAZR for a lot of different carriers and wireless protocols. Which one is yours? It won't do you any good if somebody gives you a Verizon (CDMA) RAZR if yours was on AT&T (GSM), for example.

okay. most importantly, i have some photos i need to e-mail to myself that concern my accident case. i need to know how to send them to myself. if i can borrow a cheap at&t plan version of the same phone (someone else's razr) i can most likely e-mail them to myself blindly by following the steps on the phone with the good screen. anyone know how to fix celphones when circuits and belts get disconnected?

Haha, my phone got ran over by a truck, the screen got shattered but it still works, well, almost. It still functions like usual except it no longer receives or can make calls

hey eddie i have an old black razor (cingular/at&t) that i don't use anymore. i tried to use it as a backup recently (when my phone stopped working) and it would take a charge. it was working fine the last time i used it before then, so maybe the battery is completely dead. if you put your battery in, maybe it will work for you. let me know if you want to try to meet up and pick it up. i have a charger too.
i live right by la brakeless in palms. email me tbolmedo at gmail dot com

typo- i meant it wouldn't take a charge- but again, i think it just needs a new battery

thanks tomato. i would love to borrow it or buy it from you.
i know it's not the greatest phone but i miss it and the things it was able to do. most importantly i need to transfer pics and running through the steps on yours may help me with mine. was it an at&t plan and sim card?

Eddie, have you tried using Bitpim and a data cable to pull the files from your phone right on to your hard drive? You don't need to be able to see the phone's screen to do that. You do need a data cable, though. (Bitpim is free and available for Windows, Mac OS 10.3+, and various flavors of Linux).

Possibly...I think they're an AT&T reseller. The AT&T store should have them.

PC thanks. i went to radio shack but hesitated to buy a data cable, here's why. apparently my mp3 player uses a data cable that fits the the phone and i've plugged it to the phone and i got no reaction from the phone or computer (since i got the phone and b4 all the drops n damage. so my question is this: is the charging port also the data port on the phone?
or does it need that freaking L shaped adaptor (circled in red)?

also what i learned today at radioshack is that i could pay a mom and pop subcontracted phone store to exert the data for me onto a disk for a fee. something the (carrier) phone stores won't do for you. it's not in there best interest I guess. they are loosing out on that revenue these carrier idiots.

You can't just use any cable that physically fits in the port. You have to use one made for phones of that type.

LORD VELOZ,
please do not answer on my behalf. we are not the same individual and people are beginning to learn about our alliance as sith and apprentice but we must divert their other ridiculous suspicions. I won't get into it but stop digging into my mind with our dark arts and responding with my thoughts. impressive, most impressive, but not funny.

I can go into your phone's filesystem and retrieve those photographs. All I ask in return is a quick plug. Just a quick one will be fine! That is no problem!

Just a quick plug, in exchange for your photographs. What do you say, user "Eddie GOpez"?

it all depends what you mean by plug and if by plug you mean something naughty gender will also matter. but if you want a public testimony and praise for your work i will definately give you that kind of plug.
