1. a place to sublet
2. a place to work

Sean, cute name.
as always, your best bet is to check craigslist sublet and jobs. Don't know what you do, so can't really suggest anything, employment wise. hit a bump on this thread as you get closer to your arrival and check the boards, maybe you'll find something.
For anything serious, this board isn't the best idea. Lots of knuckleheads, with snappy answer. They can take around here, when they go visit other cities, but they sure don't know how to welcome visitors when they come to LA.

sexy brings up a good point. The average member of this community is barely-if-at-all-employed, living in conditions which fall somewhere between squalor and outright filth. Not the best group to consult for employment and housing adivce in my humble opinion.

oh sweet sexy, thanks for the heads up. as it turns out, this is just the right place for me to look...i'm not much of an employee and i live wherever i can find a place. craigslist la is so fucking fancy. and even better, i like snappy comments...they keep the day exciting.
and i don't even have my own computer...i use the library. woooo
so yeah, if y'all hear of or think of anything, let me know.
