Another Bike Stolen

My S&S fixie was stolen last night at Echo Park as I was inside the church with the Rev. Billy. I could use some help, If you know what it looks like tell me about sightings. Check bicycle for sale forums.
On a bright note, it was lisenced last tuesday so I am keeping my fingers crossed. Description: Black frame with yellow S&S insignia painted on the down tube. One of the tubes from the crank to the cogs is painted yellow. It has a TrenWay sticker on the top tube and my nudie S&S spoke cards all around the back wheel.

Was it locked?
I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm running out of sympathy for people who leave their bikes unlocked / not locked to an immoveable object and then get upset when they're not where they left them.

@ DK,
Not trying to pick on you but what kind of luck did you use? I am trying to determined how the thieves are stealing the bikes and what methods of securing bikes are already compromised. For example if you used a chain and it was cut, then we know that the thieves now have tools beyond simple hand tools.
A lot of the earlier thefts around Echo Park where opportunistic, like someone leaving a bike unsecured. A lot were parts like wheels, pedals, lights and saddles being stolen. If a locked bike was stolen then the thieves are getting more organized and equipped.
There is a suspicion held by some Ridazz that there are at least 3 bands of thieves who prey on cyclists in the Echo Park/LACC area.
Unfortunately they ride with us and might even read this forum. Sharing the methods they use might curb some of the thefts.

Yea, what kind of lock was it? What was is locked to and how?
Kel's bike almost got stolen once when she was working at Brite Spot. It was the middle of the day, they "skinned" the rubber shit off her u-lock before a cook ran out there and was like, "what the fuck!"
Apparently they were high school kids who were walking home from school?
Luis, that bike will be pretty noticeable if they didn't give it a quick rattle can paint job.

IT'S CALLED BAD LUCK.
PLUS SOMEBODY TOLD ME IT WAS A GIRLS BIKE ANYHOW.
LUIS, FORGET ABOUT THAT BIKE, IT'S GONE HOMIE, YOU'LL GETA NOTHER ONE, PIECE OF CAKE, SAD TO HEAR ABOUT THIS, BUT YOU FOOLS THAT RELY ON CABLE TYPE OF LOCKS? YOU ARE DUMB, JUST BEFORE I JOINED MR, I HAD A 'LOW RIDER' CLASSIC GANGSTER BEACH CRUISER, FULLY CHROME, 144 SPOKE, GANGSTER WHITE WALLS, IN MINT CONDITION,
AND YOU GUESSED IT: LOCKED UP WITH A '3/4' CABLE-LOCK.
SO NOW YOU SEE WHY I HAVE THAT BIG ASS STAINLESS STEAL 'CUFF TYPE' LOCK, THERE IS A REASON I USE THAT 'BIG' ASS LOCK.
I HOPE YOU GET IT BACK, THE LOW RIDER BIKE WAS REGISTERED TOO. AND I HAVE NOT HEARD OR SEEN SHIT OF MY BABY AGAIN. 4 YEARS LATER AND IT STILL SUCKS.

I had a bike stolen because I was using a cable lock. Now I roll a 10 pound chain AND a u-lock.
P.S. MANY u-locks are useless as well. Anyone with a bic pen has a key to your lock, unless your u-lock is new (like less than 2 yrs old).

Dammit Louis, this pisses me off.
I hope you get that bike back.
On the subject of U-Locks, do not use the one with the round key. Newer versions, and the Bulldog is about $30 much cheaper than $70 Kryptonite, has a "laser key" . The lock cannot be picked with a bic pen or the traditional lock picking kit.

FYI: If you have one of the Kryptonite locks with the round key, you can send it back to Kryptonite with a check for $18, and they'll send you one of their nice new locks with a flat key lock that can't be picked with a disposable pen.

Thanks everyone, went to work today and internet went down, no way to get on till now. It was a cable lock. I still have my other bikes to ride so I am fine in transportations. What I would like to know is all the 'bike for sale' forums so that I can keep watch. I dont have a great pic of it, it was always my intention to have like Chynna or someone to take a pic just for this reason but I always forgot when the time came.

Louis, sorry to hear this man, seriously sucks bigtime. It is almost getting to the point where you have to ride a piece of sh!t bike so it wont get stolen. Or what if we decorated our bikes so artfully crazy that no one would dare to steal it?
Im going to do something like this - its going to give you guys a good laugh!
