Totally torn about it. I bring up the idea and encourage it, then I get Mook and The King and Queen of Tren Way into, now I scared of it.
I look forward to learning dudgeons and dragons. Playing games and acting silly on the train. Finding out more about who Ms. Stephanie is.
BUT
I know I will need a day to recover after two days on the train.
I hate that train smell more and more every hour after hour 25.
46 hours actually equals like 52 hour or more on amtrak. so I am scared
I reason I suggested the train was because the only flights I could find where $434 to $568. Much more expensive then drive, train or bus. I thought if we where to be on the bus or in a car that long we might as well spend a couple of extra dollars and kick it on the train.
Now I found a flight for $364 and it is non-stop (which as it looks is rare)
Plus on the train I'm going to spend at least $60 on food. beer is another story and I will want to buy round of beer for everybody, so I will be spending at least another $100 to $200 on the train. So the price will be the same
also I hate to leave my Dad in one of those boarding care facilities for 11 days as oppose to 6 or 7 days if I fly. I need the breaks from him and I hate to miss another one of these trips, but I would rather him not be away from me longer then necessary. Those overnight stays at those homes seems to degrade is mental state faster then normal.
So I'm feeling kinda of jerky towards everybody who is going to be on the train if I don't go on the train. I know it will be fun with Dak, Stephanie and Mook but I know I might be exhausted when we get into New Orleans.
I don't know. I definitely don't want to drive, that is for sure.
