my good friend is moving back up north, so i wanna spend some time with her tomorrow before she leaves. i've already planned a picnic by the tar pits and possibly lacma (it's free after 5!). i really wanted to do the paddle boats in echo park, even though they're not free. but sadly they're closed.
do any of you guys know of anything fun that i could do for free with her... or for real cheap. $10 or less. ???

she doesn't have a bike or ride one, sadly. that would be awesome if we could do that. she's like 4'9-5'0 too, haha. frames for people that short are hard to come by.

Griffith Observatory's good.
The tar pits and then a walk down Fairfax to get some Ethiopian food at Rahel or Rosalinds.
Venice Beach.
Downtown / Santee Alley / Fashion District - Cool old architecture and knockoff stuff.
Getty Center ($8 for parking, free admission), then cruise Mulholland Drive all the way into Hollywood.
etc., etc.
There are all kinds of awesome cheap dates in this town.

downtown is fun.
the central library is awesome. you can get lost in another world there. they also have a pretty cool gift store.
pershing square has ice skating for 8 bucks an hour which is pretty reasonable. there's a "pearl jam" tribute band playing tonight. i can't vouge for how good they are, but it's free.
i heard you can go to the top of city hall and get a pretty good view of the city. haven't tried it yet though.
summers in LA have really a lot of good free stuff. tell your friend to come visit you again in the summer.

Watch out for Phillipes cheese sandwich.
It sounds like an awesome deal cause its super cheap and vegetarian.
But when you get it, you see why, ... its just cheese and bread.
Of course you can spice it up with their hot mustard at the table, but its not what most people call a sandwich.
