I really don't want to sell this bike, but it turns out that I must. I bought it from ebay and have come to admit that its too large.

I am willing to sell it for $850 to anyone I know, if they ACT FAST.
I'm selling a Surly Cross Check. I purchased it 2 weeks ago and have come to find out that its ever so slightly too big for me! I love this bike and hope it finds a good home. I did ride the bike for about 15 miles, with different tires and seat, before I realized it wasnt my size. Unfortunately, my mistake is your gain, so please enjoy!
The aesthetics of the bike are spectacular and unique, in that the frame is the only used part of the bike! All components, wheels, tires, saddle, are all new!
The frame is amazing. 54 cm. The best part- its from 1999 - when it was still made with Reynolds 631 tubing!!! This is a great steel for a Cross Check bike, for touring, cross-racing, commuting, anything.
ALL NEW - Campy Centaur shifters, and Veloce FD & RD, 9 speed shimano cassette (spacing is very similar to campy 10).
Wheelset is a Mavic Ksyrium Equipe with Kenda Cross Tires. They are new, true, and ready to rock. They are gorgeous!
Fizik Racing Saddle, not sure of the model but really rides and looks great. An excellent accent to the bike.
Pedals are not included, the frame is in excellent condition with only very few minor scuffs...the decals are a bit scuffed but replacements can be ordered from Surly if it really bothers you. I like the look, especially since I know it rides so well with all new components, etc.
NOTE: This is pickup only, and cash only. I know how many scams go down with nice bikes.

Marcus, I wish I could buy that bike, but I can't.
After buying the Tandem and Kabuki Sky, I'm broke.
But If I could find the money, it would be mine right now. That bike is so awesome. I am unworthy.

Man, you KNOW I loved it...

I do think it would fit you, you are taller and longer than me.
Also, I think it would not only fit you physically. I think it would fit you spiritually as well.

It doesn't fit me. We seem to be about the same height, so unless your inseam is crazy bigger than mine, it doesn't seem like it would fit.
It's just a tiny bit too big for me though, so maybe it would fit you. I don't know.

I thought it was hard to see his face because he's got a bandana on it all the time and whatever sticks out of his crotch is yellow so it's like a warning color.

Is this bike too tall for you? I can't believe you don't fit a 54 did you try a 90mm stem?
I'm pretty sure you need a shorter STEM, at least try it. Don't sell this at such a loss its a nice bike.
