Who wants to ride over from DTLA?
reply
My friend's dropping me off at the Rancho Cucamonga Metrolink station.
From there, I'll take the train to El Monte, ride to Montebello to pick up my money, and then I'm heading down Washington like I normally would.
Perhaps I'll intercept this convoy enroute and commandeer it!!!!

Eastside to westside rides are always a must. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll even be going today.

... o, i thought momz was staying out east ... ok, well, h'wood and highland at 7:30 then.
illafilla01.10.09 - 4:29 pm
reply
Well idk that's what it
Said over on the ride calender.
That mom ridaz posted up,
It said they'll head out towards cyborg but look at
The time mom ridaz posted and the time cyborg starts....??
madmike01.10.09 - 4:40 pm
reply
I think momz is *thinking about* meeting up with the ride, not riding to the start. Even if they were, that's not soon enuf to leave.

What time does duckdroidpigeonbotz actually leave? I remember reading somewhere that they are on robot time rather than bike time, so 8:00 actually means leaving at 8:30 rather than 9:00. Is this true? A binary answer would be appreciated.
nathansnider01.10.09 - 4:52 pm

I'm betting they'll leave at

Typically meet at 6 or so, ride by 7, which gives us an hour to get there. That means we can take our time and have at least one stop. Also, usually I'll call and have everyone wait for me because I'm always late. Then head straight over Venice. That is a typical Eastside-> westside ride. Along with stillline yelling at everyone when we have a paceline.
imachynna01.10.09 - 5:13 pm
reply
right right right. that would be the way it goes. Soooooo who's down to ride to the westside?
kryxtanicole01.10.09 - 5:35 pm
reply
I'm down.
But taking Adams to Washington is a lot simple-er.
Tarmonster.01.10.09 - 5:58 pm
reply
It's simple if you're already over there. I've got a lot of ground to cover from NoHo! I'm taking the train to somewheres. Looks like it'll be 7th metro station, as I said earlier. blarg.

I'm heading that way but I won't be there till probably 7:30. maybe I'll see you guys. I'm taking wilshire L on crenshaw, R pico, L La Brea, R venice.
ceeya there!
User101.10.09 - 6:26 pm

Man I don't know what's the big problem getting there. The start of this ride is only 7 miles from Wilshire and Vermont. Probably 6 miles from Wilshire and Western. If it's going East, then it would be a no brainer going to this ride. This ride was of the best rides I've been on in a long time. Saw very few eastsiders at this even though they were riding in your hood last night.
