- She is going to school to be civil rights attorney.
- She is young and idealistic (how else would you fall for Brand Hope).
- She rides Wolfpack.
- She is totally immersed in LA bike culture.
- She races BMX (a childhood dream I never got to experience).
- She still wears classic Vans.
- She carries a criminal law book to City Council meetings.
- She has resisted going high lighted blond even though it would totally work for her.
- She is all over this forum
- I hope she brings in her New YearsResolutions while maintaining her old ways.

She will be a likely opponent of mine in a future, run-for-office.

PC.....you will have to read it in the page source. It was one of those things where you don't know if you should write it or not. Lucky for me it is a html misprint that is not on the surface, but if you care enough to know, you can find it.

GEE instead of showing honor to the person in topic of this thread, leave it to Tyler to suck the joy out of this thread.
Somebody just gave me two more reason over the phone as to why la duderina is so rad, but I'll let them post it themselves.
Coming up next......customary for questions for this week ROTW.
(in case you haven't figured it out yet, this is another secret ROTW thread)

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVATION FOR BECOMING A LAWYER?
social change AND financial stability
What activism have you done the last year. Have you done any that you felt was effective?
hmmm. well I made phone calls for Obama. Don't think it really helped anything, but made me feel like I was a part of history. Oh yeah and I bitched about bike licenses at city hall. I think that helped a little.
I headed the political science student association at long beach state, participated in marches, urged people to write their representatives, spread awareness about election fraud and governmental spying. Don't know the effect of that though.
Do you like the job the mayor of los angeles has been doing?
I don't have an informed opinion on that. I've only lived here since August. Although I support Zuma Dogg for mayor. lol
what was your first ridazz ride and what bike did you ride on it?
SIXPACK MONDAYS was my first ridazz ride. I rode my green machine, my haro.
my first 2nd friday MR ride was the VeganBanana one. It amazed me. Right then and there it was love. I also rode my green machine on that ride, complete with rack & panniers.
do you perfer rainbows or rain?
I like rainbows, but you can't have them without the rain.

and RBI, if thats the rule I would do it. I was just afraid to do it brakeless my first time...that is until I rode a fixed gear and realized how easy it is.

Brakeless on Wolfpack seems like a bad idea. You have to go so fast on the downhills and against so many red lights....I know people do it.... but how?

These questions are your to answer as you feel.
What I was hoping for when I asked you what your motivation was for becoming a lawyer, I was hoping to hear about something that saw or heard about that set you off. Some injustice done to someone. Maybe something that you take notice of that happens often.
What kind of practice to you see yourself performing say five years out of law school.
sexy12.31.08 - 5:53 pm
reply
Well I just always wanted to be a lawyer. I started law school a few months ago wanting to be a music attorney. I thought if I made enough money doing that that I could devote some time to other causes such as environmental stuff, health care, worker's rights, etc.
Then I went to a few entertainment law society meetings. They made me realize that is not what I wanted to do. I cannot be like those people. Especially when I will have such a powerful tool in my hands (the JD) that will give me the ability to really help people.
I really don't know anything specific. I just know that I want to help the little guy, you know? Whenever and wherever there is someone who the Man is getting down, I want to do something about it.
The health insurance industry is something that currently really pisses me off. But I also get really mad when I see stuff that is going on internationally, and I feel like its the fault of the United States (...fucking IMF and World Bank!!). Like what is going on in Darfur -- I would like to help the women and children get into the United States or get out of there somehow. Or when I see pictures of polar bears stranded on small bits of ice as a result of human activity..that really pisses me off and I want to do something about it. Or when huge corporations take advantage of customers, workers, and the environment. I hate that shit, too.
Its just insane the amount of things lawyers can become involved in, and so many things piss me off I really just don't know specifically what I want to do other than I want to do SOMETHING.
In 5 years I see myself stressing about paying off my hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans. But as far as what actual practice I'll be in...not sure yet. I'll know in 2011.
p.s. I'm not feeling so rad anymore after having insulted Debut213. I responded the wrong way and I feel like an asshole. I hope he forgives me.

That said, you're still Rad la duderina.
It'd be extra rad to ride with your ass on some trails.
Mountaineerrzz wantz You to get dirty!
I was outa' town, but I noticed on the thread that you needed a bike.
I've got a mtb you can use that would probably be a pretty good fit.
