Basically it goes into great detail about this former railroad that ran from Ludlow, CA to Rhyolite, NV.

I like how the photo's were remastered to give you an idea of where trains and equipment once ran.

 Yeah, I guess you could also call it that.

But just as the Pacific Electric Railway was beginning to fade from everyone's memory, these small, desert-based shunting railways were just as important back in their day.

It seems as more time goes by, the quicker these particular, former lines of yesteryear will just be a "rut in the ground" to most.

 This reminds me of this group site I ran across once online. This group revolved around documenting and visiting plane crash sites out in the desert. They kind of kept their info on the down low so as to not get any fuck heads out there to destroy and graffiti the sites.

I'll see if I can track the site I ran across and send the link to you Adam and Greg.
