Seeing everyone's reactions to him was probably my favorite part of that whole experience. Cars would be pissed that we'd be blocking traffic but would immediately start honking and cheering when they saw Richie.
The party has been upped.

Yeah! We had the lucky and great timing to be right there and watch it unfold! Richie stole the show...that's alot to say about such a grand event...:)

14.5 feet. That just doesn't seem right? That is (roadblocks height x 2) + 1 foot 4 inches
Maybe it just my perception. It seems sooo much taller. I know the tape measure didn't lie, and there is no reason to say it is shorter then it is.

i agree with you which is why my second question was how tall from eye level = 17 feet, which feels like a more accurate number

YES.
I want to see a version of that video without the musique so that we can hear how many more times Richie said "oh shit" while he was up there! I said it a few times while watching.
