Stop Whining and Complaining

It seems the same people whine, moan and complain about the rides.
"Too many drunk people"
"I'm bored with the routes."
"I liked the old days.."
"I hate my life and want to slit my wrists."
Geezus! In the immortal words of Eddieboy.
JUST SHUT UP AND RIDE!
To the other 98% who do ride and don't complain. Keep up the good work and don't let the few ruin it for the rest of us.

your posts about the rides that happen in your area say otherwise, man.

i don't know what you are talking about. The forums have been fun for me lately. I don't see any whining.
People who want to see bad things see bad things and vice versa.

Why even bother to call those things rides?
More like a sausage-fest with middle-aged, career-people that are too uptight.
Aside from that, I like making fun of this area, it seems to get worse every year.
Bill Postmus and Brad Mitzelfelt are turning into a suburban dump.

the bicycle scene in los angeles is not everything that its cracked up to be. youre old enough to realize this. i dont know why you havent.

i come off as a pretty negative person most of the time, especially on the board, but your attitude is generally a lot worse than mine. at least it seems.

yes borfo, thats right! it doesnt matter if anyone else rides with you. youre out there enjoying yourself doing your own thing by yourself regardless of their little lycra clique or whatever you want to call it in this post.

um, are you talking about my attitude? I had no idea. I thought I was the opposite. i guess people misunderstand my sarcasm but you were probably talking about someone else and I'm butting into this conversation because I'm bored.

Well, what do you suggest I do then?
Aside from options that could lead to an arrest record, all I got is playing chess and watching grass grow.
I'll stick to the LA bicycle scene, as it's probably the only thing that doesn't involve ME getting kicked out of someplace, or, contrary to recent events, into a physical fight.
Oh, btw, I first ran across the LA bicycle scene while in, Vegas of all places.

I remember that, adam! even though I didn't make it to that ride. Your first one was on the vegas strip!

I used to go riding around late at night taking photos and exploring places I'd never been before, alone. I kinda miss that. Why doesn't anyone put on rides like that anymore?

Trespassing would probably be a big part of it.
After riding the same route with nowhere to go, I tend to want to see where a private road, or a closed gate would lead to.
Then there's also the chance of a heated run-in with an irate-driver who wants to act a fool.
My overall key to reducing negativity is by immersing yourself into a positive atmosphere, something that I find lacking up here.

How about people posting long strings of images that I have to scroll through to get to the important parts of this forum? That really stews my prunes...
