so i have 3 bikes, and very little space in my place, and can't afford to buy one of those metal vertical bike stands where you can rack up two bikes at once.
does anybody have a DIY solution?
has anybody tried making one?
i was thinking of using pvc pipes and rubber to secure the bike, and use dumbell weights to weigh it down. ideas. i'm on a budget though...

haha..I have experiences with those bike stands. you're right they are cheap, but you always get what you pay for. I'd hang a bike on it and that shit would fall over. POS!!! fuck target.
Don't ever buy anything bike related from target or walmart. just don't.
support your local bike shop!
oh and junu, I don't feel like going through and posting the pics, but I did a google image search of pvc bike stands and a ton of stuff came up.

have you ever thought of bike hooks?
mount them on the studs!! or else your bike might take the drywall down, haha. cheap as fuck type of solution. imho.
some cat from felt dropped off a bunch of stuff at the kitchen on saturday, including some bike hooks. maybe there's still some around there. if not, i don't think they're hard to find.

+1 on the hooks. Plus you can use them to discipline your hoes.

My stepdad has a bunch of music-stands for his students to place their sheet music on when in class.
I figure these could easily be converted into one of those repair-stands you see in most shops.
Elevate so you could see what you're striking!!!
