Thanks for posting a ride.
Next time it would be great if you also showed up or if you deleted the ride if you were not planning on going.
Also the number you posted is wrong.
From the dorris elem steps, I was here at. 8:45

Yeah... sucks when that happens. Sounds like what happened to a couple of us in Burbank. To think people show to support and they are not there. Ugghh... ticks me off.

Either that, or they showed up early and waited for 2 minutes, then kicked it into drive.
If anything, sounds like a group of youngsters that only know "hauling ass" and not much else.

I've heard this about the Frogtown ride twice before which is the reason I've never rolled down the hill to do it. Is someone leading that ride and actively posting here ? What's up guys?

I'll see about getting some monitoring beacons within the location.

From what I've read, this is the second time this has happened to someone.

The sixpack ride was cool. We were 50-60 people.
It took awhile to get started but once it did we were moving pretty fast but we stayed together.

Don't even get me started, i was outraged when The same thing happened to myself and some friends of mine like 4 Mondays ago.We rolled up and no one was there, i talked to the ride leader later that week and she said that it was there but they don't start at 8 like the flier says, it starts at 845 or something, i was there at 8 and waited a while, circled the block once or twice but saw not even a single knog light in the distance. She mentioned she was late that particular evening and i just wrote it off as miscommunication on my part, i went back the next Monday and met up with her and another hopeful rider who mentioned he was "glad it wasn't a two person ride", i brought some friends so there was like 5 of us, we rode from the school to the zoo then to the old zoo then home, it was fun but i haven't gone back since.
i think its funny that you called her out though because when it happened to me i wanted to real bad then i met her and realized shes not half bad and probably didn't do it intentionally, shes just a soul who's intentions are good. When no one shows up to your ride week after week it can be quite discouraging, put yourself in her shoes for a second, i wouldn't blame her for being late or leaving early .Also take into consideration to how you would have felt had she been there and it was just you and her, a 2 man ride, you probably would have decided to leave and meet up with the six pack anyways.
oh and marino, you should have stayed around for like 10 or 15 more minutes, it was a nice ride back to china town, and then down to the griffith area.

David, yeah... That's why it's a good idea to start a forum thread for each ride to get an idea how many more people are interested.
As for leaving "early" from sixpack... I was still 11 uphillish miles from home which at my speed is 45min to an hour. Got home at 1:30
The batteries for the music box died after 10 min so you didn't miss any music. :-)
I have to say that one of the most unique things about sixpack was that at least half the people had earbuds listening to their own iPods.

Sixpack always starts late and a few people always catch the ride because it does.
A lot of people just count on the ride leaving late every time so they just show up ten min before it left the last time.
If you wait longer at the first stop you might catch more riders.
Or just post your cell phone in the ride posting and they can call you to get the most up-to-date info on ride time and location.

@ funanu
You already know more than half the crowd from the other rides you should come out to six pack and be a regular.
