IF YOU GET A FLAT, I'LL FIX IT
NEED YOUR CHAIN ADJUSTED, I'M THERE.
NEED AIR, SOMETHING TIGHTENED, I'M THEIR FOR YOU.
I GO TO THE BIKE OVEN, GET TOLD THE PROBLEM IS/WAS THIS, THIS, AND THAT, AND THIS.
PEOPLE ARE WORKING ON THERE BIKES. AND I GET 'HUSTLED' OUT THE DOOR. LITERALLY.
SO I TAKE MY WHEEL APART AT HOME, AND THERE IS A FUCKING 'SANTA' BEARD WRAPPED AROUND THE CASSETTE SPINDLE.
NOW MY BIKE WORKS GOOD, BUT I STILL CANT FORGET HOW THEY REFUSED TO HELP ME, IT TOOK ME LESS THAN 1 MINUTE TO PULL THE CASSETTE, AND THE 'SANTA' BEARD OUT.
ALL I NEEDED WAS THE 'FR' TOOL. WHICH I HAVE AT HOME.
MANY TIMES, BACK IN THE DAY, AT THE OVEN, I WAS ALWAYS HELPING RIDAZZ WITH THERE BIKES.
I EVEN 'VETTED' SOME MASTER MECHANICS'.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THAT IS YOUR 'DONATED' FUNDS AT WORK.
THANK YOU BIKEOVEN.

YA, I KNOW, ITS JUST THAT I WAS THERE BEFORE THE DTLA RIDE ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE, THE CASSETTE LOCKED UP ON THE TRAIN, AS I WAS MOVING MY BIKE FOR THE SHERIFF, SO I MISSED THE RIDE, I THOUGHT CO-OPTS ARE HERE TO 'HELP OUT RIDAZZ.
MANY TIMES I SEEN RIDAZZ GETTING HELP THERE, JUST NOT MY FUCKIN ASS, IT'S COOL.

Maybe you had the ALLCAPS on when you walked in the place?
Remember, Eddie - They are volunteers that work there, and they don't know everybody. You can come across quite unnerving to people who don't know you. I know that you are just a teddy bear, but some stranger doesn't know that. And, so what if they were busy? Maybe you were being kind of pushy and they weren't ready to deal. Regardless what happened, don't be spreading shit about the oven online. Write to Josef or somebody in charge and maybe they can work it out with you. Come on!

cut the shop some slack.

I DO PURCHASE SOME PARTS WHEN NEEDED, GRANTED I DONT PUMP IN THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LIKE YOU DO, AND AS FAR AS VOLUNTEERS ONLY ON MONDAYZ, WELL HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I SEEN NON-VOLUTEERS GETTING SERVED ON MONDAYZ, MANY. I'VE BEEN THERE AND I KNOW WHAT I'M TAlKING ABOUT, I BET IF YOU SHOW UP ON A MONDAY, I BET YOU GET TREATED BETTER THAN I WAS LAST NIGHT.
YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT?
SHOW UP UNANNOUNCED AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS,
WHY YOU THINK I'M CHATTING ABOUT THIS FOR, FOR THE FUCKIN FUN OF IT?
JESUS FUCKIN CHRIST, PEOPLE ARE SO QUICK TO SAY SHIT TO ME ABOUT THIS.
LIKE I SAID BEFORE, IF THIS SHIT HAPPENED TO YOU, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL?
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
WHAT WOULD YOU SAY?
IF IT WAS A LIQUOR STORE, OR A GAS STATION, OR A CLUB...
GRANTED I'M NOT VERY WELL LIKED, BUT STILL I'M HUMAN, AND A RIDA.
IF YOU DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, THEN GO AHEAD, MAKE YOUR COMMENTS, AND EXPECT ME TO NOT RESPOND TO YOU,
YOUR DEFENDING THE BIKE OVEN BECAUSE IT THE BIKE OVEN, NOT BECAUSE OF THE 'PRINCIPAL' OF THE THING.

Just don't take it to heart and let it ruin your day.
If it really did bother you, talk it out with the involved party.
I am happy that you made it home safely & were able to successfully remove satans beard from your thingie.

Eddie, you got it wrong about what was happening at the Oven on Monday night.
We shut our doors to people working on their own bikes on Monday and Wednesday nights - that is when we work on bikes that have been dumped at the shop. We train volunteers. We strip old bikes for parts.
When you arrived on Monday night, every available stand was occupied with someone stripping down an old bike or building an old one back up (for the shop).
We've had to become hard-asses about this because otherwise we get absolutely buried with piles of bikes - which is actually stupid dangerous and inconvenient as well.
I wouldn't have turned you away for a bullshit reason. Seriously.

eddie that's crazy because i was there the whole time and i needed to talk to you about your bike and how we needed one for light up your bike. sorry. no one hates you it's just that we are getting strict because this place is getting out of control with too much shit. you used to volenteer here we dont have an eddie wrench for fucking nothing. You dont know the fucking mess and trouble we have just manging it. If you volenteer again you'd know what was up. we have no volenteers and we are close to death how can you bash a place in such a position.

Hey Joseph and Veronica. I remember stopping by to pick up my bag one Monday and did see the stress of having a huge pile of bikes and volunteers helping the walk ins. Do you need help next Moday or Wednesday? I dont know how to strip a bike but I am sure I can learn quick. I would be glad to help.
