hmm...that's a tough one, I didn't take a good look on Tuesday...you can probably give a call tonight and see what they have...there should be someone there around 7 and maybe a little earlier...
usually, the Oven is first come first served though, so if they have something tonight, I wouldn't wait until Saturday...

FROM THIS POINT ON, I HAVE NOT ONE THING TO SAY, "GOOD OR BAD" ABOUT THE BIKE OVEN. I JUST KNOW TO STAY AWAY, IT'S COOL.
I SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT MY HOME WITHOUT INSPECTING MY OWN BIKE, AND NO MATTER WHAT I SAY, ONLINE OR FACE TO FACE, LIFE STILL GOES ON.

hey adrian, any chance you know if there are riser handle bars for sale this sat? my gf wants to sit more upright on her road bike.

there should definitely be stuff like that science...there's usually a ton of bars...you'll have to dig to find to right diameter to fit your stem though! so make sure you have the other bike handy!

thanks adrian, i'll try to make it. would they let me use a caliper to measure the diameters? We may try to ride there, but wont have time to disassemble the current set-up to try new bars and then put it back together.

Aw come on, Eddie's going to have to try a lot harder than this to alienate himself from us hippies at the Oven. We still have an "Eddie" at the Oven - the "Eddie wrench", so named because it is the biggest baddest wrench on the wall. And he bought it for the Oven a while ago.
About the parts at the Oven being for road bikes - most of it MTB stuff but we did get some road specific stuff and we have some sweet hubs we've had pile up. We get loads and loads of bikes that are junkers and clunkers - and their stamped steel components jut out of big piles in the shop. There is some quality stuff (functional and well made), but none of that sporty high end stuff.
There can be some pretty good stuff every once in a while, or you can find just the right piece of whatever that you were looking for - but it can take some time.

i'm in a bind. i just broke mine coming home from work today. i commute to work from tujunga to sherman oaks and really can't afford having no bike for a while.

We are gonna have complete bikes from $10 up to $100. The cheap bikes will be out on the sidewalk, the better ones will be hanging from ceiling hooks in the shop. There will be bins of parts such as derailleurs, handlebars, freewheels, brakes, etc. marked $1 or $2. Frames, wheels, etc also up for grabs at cheap prices.
See you there at 8:00 am.
