Road Rage Error in SF

Suspect held in stabbing of off-duty S.F. cop

(02-10) 14:46 PST SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police have detained a man who allegedly stabbed an off-duty officer riding his bicycle this afternoon, authorities said.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was riding his bike at Haight and Steiner streets at 1:13 p.m. when he exchanged words with a man in a car, said Sgt. Lyn Tomioka, a police spokeswoman.

The man got out of the car and stabbed the officer, Tomioka said. It was not immediately clear what the dispute was about.

The officer's injuries were described as non-life-threatening. He was being treated at San Francisco General Hospital.

The suspect has not been formally arrested, Tomioka said. She had no further information about the incident.

Thats what the Cops need to do,

Decoy cyclist, in order to catch motorist in the act of road rage.

Less people would fuck with cyclist if they thought there was a chance of being busted.

im sure he was one of the good cops. there's plenty of them out there, but we don't run into them much because they dont fuck with us.

We run into decent cops all the time.

Like the ones who smile and wave, and the ones who encourage us to "Keep the left lane clear" rather than "stay in the bike lane!", and the one who told me to "Keep up with the group!" when the group was on the other side of a light that had just turned red on a People's Ride a while back.

It's a hard job.
