feelings of jealousy inspired by borfo's valentine made my heart rate go up...
but normally low 40's. I heard about that morphine problem junu lol. my mom keeps warning me about making sure to tell the doc I'm athletic.... apparently you can die in extreme cases....

yes but morphine feels soooooo good
if you've ever had it introduced into your system intravenously, it feels like an orgasm minus the mess. especially with your own manual drip button, oh baby...
so low 40s for the hardcore riders, anybody sub 40?
how about the more casual riders?
how bout the westsiders?

low means your heart has to pump less to circulate blood through your body for normal function. its really a question of efficiency. a weak rider will have to pedal faster at a lower gear to achieve the same speed. rpm is to heartrate as gear is to heart's strength.
kind of...
sort of...

I would like to argue, however, that a much better method of checking your physical fitness is to measure your heart rate after exercise and see how long it takes to get back to resting rate. This is called the recovery rate and is much more important when looking at how fit you are.

I just downed 3 cups of tea in quick succession, getting about 82 bpm. I don't think I've ever measured my heart rate uncaffeinated.

wow you 70s need to chill or learn to breathe.
some of you can definitely go below 70 im sure.
remember to control on calming down on your next ride.

Eh, I've been out of it for awhile due to obvious, down-heartening reasons.
With no one to really workout with up here, I get lazy on my own.

wow 40's are impressive. When I rode I was always at 60 which I thought was excellent. Little did I know.
With the little exercise I get and being overweight, I'm happy about the fact I'm at 75, with 128/74 pressure. I was at 100 with high blood pressure and that scared the BaGeebas out of me.
Yes Joe 98 is way to high. Get to riding more.
Good idea. I think I'll go riding right now.

When I went to county for my fractured wrist the interns freaked out since my blood pressure was way low and my heartrate was 47bpm. I'd love to get down to 40.

Wait, after being at 72 yesterday (with no caffeine), I'm at 56 today (with like 4 cups of coffee and tea)? I don't understand my body.
Is it because I actually went out and walked around today in the rain, rather than sitting around staring at the computer all day like I did yesterday? I don't get it.

instantaneous measurements may vary pending anxiety/hormone levels, outside influences, the quality of air you breathe. the best way to check your health is to check your heartrate first thing when you get up. that is when your body is most undisturbed from outside influences
