Yup... great photos Marino...
What lens are you using? 55-200mm AF-S DX VR? Really sharp pics. I'm looking for a zoom lens and I really like how your photos turned out. I'm on a budget though so the 55-200mm looks interesting... although the 70-300 AF-S DX VR is tempting but waaay more expensive.
Great pics!!

Esther's photo of the "sandy autonomous liberated territory" sign in Slab City reminded me to look them up.
Here are photos of those who came before us. You can see them cutting through the concrete to get to the space where THE MUSEUM OF MODERN FUN ended up playing.
This led me to an article on the same website about the
abolition of work and the ludic life (life as play).I wish RB would read it. I think it's a philosophy that fits many in this MR community and makes the slogan "this is a party not a protest" such a silly statement.
Anyways...
What lens do I use? Nikon VR 28-300 Yes, I had to work to afford it which makes me such a silly advocate for the abolition of work. Actually work is not the problem. The problem the hierarchy within the work environment and the stupidity of the tasks that needs to be accomplished. Work can be fun too. But those anarchist squatters take
crappy pictures.

I've decided.
We are going back to Slab City every year... Are we there yet?
(sorry for the repost:)
Big Heartfelt Thanks to all the Midnight Ridazz who made it to Slab City.
You were all wonderful. Despite the few bad things, it paled in comparison to all the good things. We endured the end of the apocalypse together!!
I hope we can all go down to San Diego on the March 15th to share the End of the World experience with the Electric Warriors and their minions for the Post Apocalyptic Ride.
Moreover, I hope you now all strongly consider going to Burning Man and joining the Midnight Ridazz Theme Camp this year in late August. Check the website for information at burningman.com and there will be our own discussion group which will basically be the former Ride to Nowhere google group forum.
A big Thanks to Sam and Marino for their contributions. I hope everyone can remember to reimburse them for thier expenses.
I seriously had the time of my life and I love you all.

My expenses were pretty minimal. My truckmates covered at least half the gas bill, which was all of the expense I can think of that was incurred on a communal basis. If folks want to kick a little down, I'll just wind up giving it to the fund to repair the audio trailer, so just donate directly to that, instead.

Seriously guise,

Wow I didn't know you guys were getting fucked with by the border patrol when you had a flat. I was just thinking you guys got a flat at a really good spot, where there was some light! I thought for a minute or two that would be a good place to stop for the others behind me. I didn't stop with you guys cause I was finally feeling it. I felt like crap leaving Bomb Bay Beach cause of a crappy tamale.
Back to the weekend....
I had a blast out there in the middle of nowhere! Made some new friends and got to know some of the one I have, a little closer.
Since this is the thread for pics, I'll keep the thread going with the pic I think sums it all up for me. I'll post more of the my thoughts on the weekend on the other thread and the google group.
