I get stupid on solo rides

Hence why I like to ride with MR craziness.
While spinning on down to class from the gym(after flaking for a week), I took a shortcut through the back alley of a Vons.
As I rolled through the dirt, I turned too wide and then corrected to avoid a drop-off.
Laid it down and landed on my shoulder after the consistent wind blew sand into my path.
Needless to say, I got picked up and now I'm lying in bed with some heavy pain in my shoulder.
Took some Ibuprofen and threw some ice on it, hopefully it swells down.

if a group ride went through there you would have done the same thing. just saying. is anything broken?

First person as always.
Not that I know of, I could still move it, but it might be some muscle-bruising.
As far as "not crashing ever" on group rides, I attribute that to not wanting to look like an ass in front of many.
I tend to cut corners when no one's looking.

bents!
That sucks.
my worst crash was a solo crash on the bike path, no cars, no traffic, just me and a ground.

it happens. I went down coming out of balboa at 1 am. split both lips and got some road rash on my face. its cool now though. I gt like 50 stitrches. its a bitch that it had to happen all by myself. I've fallen many times on group rides but it has not been bad cus you're usually not going fast. I tend to try to get where im going as fast as I could when im by myself.

if adam rides alone in the desert, and he crashes, does he make a sound?

It makes the sound of sand.
BUT WHAT IS THE SOUND OF SAND?
I'm sorry to hear it, bents. But I'm glad you're okay.
When you say you got picked up, do you mean someone found you? Did you pass out?

I called my little brother to get me at the Vons, he was in his ABU's and driving an Air Force recruiting van.

The ice is making it a little better, as I finish up some pages, review and watch Law & Order SVU.

Thanks for the blessings, the shoulder only hurts when I lift something with my right.

. . . . . . . . .
The entire Law&Order franchise exists expressly for this purpose. Healing after bike crashes and sick days. Though admittedly, once, I was in a bar in Portland during a L&O marathon, and the entire place was riveted. Mostly looking forward for when to say DUN DUN.

Of course, it being Portland, it could be argued that they were all healing from bike crashes and/or sick with colds.
