Riding Is Not a Crime!! Help in the Valley

Being an all around rider from the valley, it came to my attention from a few BMX bike riders and bike shops around the Burbank area that the local Police have been giving kids around the city huge tickets for riding in the Public Skate park some of the fines being up to $475 dollars others ranging in the mid $200 dollars.
The city has seen the large response from the kids & parents to open the park up to BMX bikes and Bicycles in general ( yes Fixies are welcomed ) so a city hearing has been set for next Tuesday, March 3 at the Burbank city council building.
Help the Kids make it possible!!!
They are very close and the city is all ears, just showing up shows you support riding!

Is there anything you can do such as getting signatures? How bout for people that aren't a part of the community and would like to contact the city? I live a long ways off for example.

Sounds like the ongoing battle between the Town of Apple Valley and the BMXr's who try to utilize their skatepark.
There actually used to be a skatepark in each of the three main cities up here, and then there was this massive, mound of dirt-hills behind a Food4Less that were utilized for BMX dirt-jumping.
Sadly, the Victorville and Hesperia skateparks closed up shop for unknown reasons, and the dirt-jumps rarely see any jumpers save for lazy fucks riding dirtbikes or quads.
Apple Valley seems to be the only hope for BMX enthusiasts up here outside of constructing jumps in abandoned lots.
Rest of the cities are too concerned with "retail-oriented" types of recreation.
