FML Training Ride

This will be a training ride designed to prepare for Feel My Legs on March 14th. HILL INTERVALS is the theme here and so we will be climbing some short steep ones on the westside. The format will be similar to the event on March 14th in that we will be riding to each hill, waiting to gather everyone, climbing to the top, waiting to gather everyone, riding together to the next hill, repeat..... Anyone is welcome on any bike you want and you can and should experiment with your ride here. The hills will not be as steep but they can and may wreak you if you take it lightly, so have fun!
We will be LEAVING the Ballona Creek Bridge at 9am.
When: March 7th
Meet: LEAVING from Ballona Creek Bridge at 9am.
Duration: 2hrs total event (in stages, not riding the entire time)
Distance: Mileage to be determined
We invite you to Feel My Legs!!

Is there a routemap for this training ride (or maybe just lemme know which hills you're gonna do)
I won't be able to make the ride cause I work that morning, but I'd love to get the same workout as you guys later in the day....thanks!
Looking forward to FML '09!
1st timer gearing question:
Do you think 36/25 will be small enough? Or should I maybe mount up a cassette that has a 28 tooth big cog (but is old and wore out)? Or just suck it up and borrow/build something with a triple?

your ratio will depend on your level of fitness.
expect some riders to get up there in the big ring 53/22s
if you're not accustomed to climbing, bring all the gears you can! people who climb often know their limits and what their capacity is.
i think they're all short enough for me to ride big ring, well except fargo.

I'll post a map of a few of the hills when I get a chance. We won't hit them all on Sat since I'm trying to keep it under 2hours but there are many FUN ones.
As far as the gearing just practice on some hills and see what YOU think.

We will try to hit all the hills and end at Sand Dune Park in Manhattan Beach for some more fun!!!!
Whole Foods is not far from here and we plan to ride there after for food, and hangin' out.
