Old Foggy allow me to tell you a story about the mustach'd of bridges,
Several years ago I was out on the savanna grooming my healthy debonair mustachioed visage when I found myself wandering into a trance. Well being one who enjoys trances, savannas. mustache grooming, and any combination therein I welcomed in the experience with open arms. I was then transported to a place where some unusual bare chested individuals were charging mustache fees to cross this small bridge far from my homely savanna. They realized my hearty, thick bristled lip towel and welcomed me into their clan with open arms. We later closed the night in a very deeply intoxicated gentlemanly soiree.

If you don't mind riding all the way there (and back at night) I'd just take venice all the way down to pacific, then pacific to the SM pier (Ocean and colorado).
It's prolly 10 miles at the most.
