Chynna's Story:
My first people I met that shaped me for great riding are Chicken Leather, Big Bike Dan, and Franz. Fucking thank you. You taught me the ways.
Lauren's Story:
"Before I even started riding bikes, I went to the All City Race, I met PC, Brendan, Roadblock, Sexy, Kalie- she drove me. And I met and understood them all and since that moment I learned how to ride my roadbike."
July's Story:
"Ulie helped me push through Bicykillers, Dak, Ms. Steph, Borfo, David and Too Short took me under their wing. I didn't know it was that love."
Coldcut's Story:
"Chicken Leather helping me with my exploded derailleur, July and Rikk on Bicykillers, Dak with my rear axel."
Who's next?

ok, chapter five. fucking PC. I'm writing this message specifically to you. I truly felt that the first time i met ANYONE at the last years race, you were the most accepting person I met there. Major respect. I hope that you keep accepting people like you do/did with me. I hope to do the same thing that you did with me. accepting everyone. props.
PC ROCKS!!!!

It wasn't my first M/R ride, but on the first Dark Century (6-1-07), I knew that Tern and I were going to be friends for the rest of my life.

I met Roadblock accidently. Waiting for a ridazz ride, a friend of mine (who was devoted to becoming core-elite) said he was waiting for Roadblock, to which I replied "who the hell is Roadblock." Without a response, my friend stands up and starts waving at a tall dude coming up the METRO escalator. My friend was achieving little with his waving and his barely audible "Roadblock, Roadblock," so having had a couple beers I stood up and, in the best bro voice I could muster, started calling "Roadie!! Roadie!!"
RB looked like he had to crap, cry or be somewhere else. It was damn funny.
The end. (and RB is my buddy, just in case I gave the wrong impression)

chynna. you fucking, you fucking, you fucking rock! haha. you're also just as amazing as july. i can see why you guys are such good friends. if you didn't tell me you were 16, i'd never know. i'd think, "that's a young looking cool chick around my age group." haha. i can see why you guys are such good friends.
lauren. you also rock! thanks for the hospitality, jack daniels, and good times! it was cool talking about art, life, and MR. i wanna see your artwork next time!

Everyone I've spoken to since you left was stoked about meeting you in person. We definitely enjoyed having your presence last night and the art conversation, lecture really, was amazing.
Thanks for giving us a chance as well.
PS. you left your helmet at Lauren's place. She's keeping it safe until either I or Chynna see her (Chynna might see her before Thurs. Bicykillers - says she might do it - and i might be there as well.
I'm glad you had a blast.

It's great when people take others under their wings and instill that kind of camaraderie and feeling of community in others. All we did was what others have done with us when we all started riding.

All I have to say is that there are some things that aren't supposed to stay in Vegas.
This all seems to have started in LA and vicinity for everyone else here, but for me, Sin City is where the busty vixen that is MR, exposed itself to me!!

july, lauren, and chynna! fuck yeah!
yesterday was definitely brilliant! chilling in that parking lot until 4am. awesome. we had great conversations too. i loved the trips to the store. i'm pretty sure i was drunk the second time we went, but i couldn't tell. falling asleep and waking up to the smiths on repeat was sublime. my dreams rocked.
it was also great meeting everyone else. you're all good people. that makes me happy. also, it was really cold. haha. the booze helped warm me up, but i woke up around 5pm shivering.
thanks for looking after my helmet! i lost my schedule but i'm pretty sure i'm working dinner shifts this week and get out past 11-12, so i probably won't be able to go to bicikillers. i know i'm off tomorrow and so i might do six pack, or some other ride on the other day. i'll let you know tomorrow.

The first person to acknowledge me was Eric Hair (3 years ago). I was really stoked that night. Up until then I had just kept to myself, riding this crappy beater bike. LaHarr I believe was was my inspiration to help out with flats and quick help fixing. I'm sure it was him that stopped for me.
Thanks guise

oh and bentstrider, I knew you were one of us to the core from the moment you rolled upon us in the glare of the vegas neon, as soon as you asked me what was going on, and I answered you, I saw it click in your head, and when I mentioned we were from LA, you just lit up, we havent been able to get rid of you since!
PS, I miss your recumbent!
