But that's only if I can take time off... and if I can find somewhere to stay in SD. soooo um... leave me on the list for now. The Bike Show is Sat/Sun
The Ride is Sat night
There is a Pancake type thing goin on at a place in Bankers Hill on Sun.
There is also a cool bike show after party Sunday at Velo Cult bike shop in South Park.
If you had a car, you could likely still have fun at various points.
If not, maybe we could scare up a bike for you. No guarantees, bu what size do you ride?
I'll try to post up some links to hot spots so you can get an idea.
I suck with online maps though, so it may not be all inclusive.

Alright, so if you get in to SD and want ride straight to the bike show
here is a route map.

If your lazy, take the trolley next to your train.
Blue line north to Old Town.
green line north to Fashion Valley Transit Center.
walk down the stairs and head for the stop light (you'll see it)
That's Fashion Valley Rd.
turn left and head down about 200 feet.
Convention Center is on your left.

I'm not sure the Amtrak will stop there.
It's weird, sometimes it does stop and sometimes not.
So, ask the conductor. If it does then yeah get off if you like
Old Town is the start of the Green line Trolley.
Or, you can look at the map I posted and go up Taylor street.

As an experiment I tried entering OLT (Old Town station) as a destination and the system was willing to sell me an unreserved coach seat on the 9:40 AM train. So I'm going to assume that that train stops at Old Town. If not, it's not a big deal.

I just got my ticket. leaving union station at 9:40am saturday and returning at 5:20pm on sunday.
I thought about driving, and possibly riding with someone but seriously
driving is just too much hassle. who wants to deal with being responsible for a car and loading it and picking everyone up and yada yada and I want to relax and enjoy the view and the freedom a simple train ride brings.

I was so drunk I rode my bike on a totally flat tire for like 2 miles then was so drunk i almost couldn't change it,

I love that Fuzzbeast was in charge of the route getting us to the Fountain.... he led us up the micheltorrena of sandiego plus 3 more hills... along the way residents were telling us this was the worst hill we could possibly have chosen to get to the park... we downhilled in another wrong direction then uphilled another climb to get to the fountain finally, and came to find out that the meeting point was actually not there but outside the park and a few MORE hills to get there.

San Diego Scene is definitely family to Ridazz Scene. There arent many cities that hold non-exclusive theme party rides, San Diego is a jewel. They are definitely the most similar scene to Midnight Ridazz. They definitely do it differently, don't get me wrong, but they dont have the crew/gang/its-our-ride mentality NOR the bike-advocacy-only vibe I've seen in other U.S. cities. Austin is coming close through Mims and ATXRIDAZZ though. Lets all celebrate the fact that we have another slamming bike scene 130 miles away!

I actually didn't find the National City cops that bad. All they were asking was for us to stay in the right hand lane (on four lane roads), which I think is a reasonable and appropriate request for a ride of that size.
They were corking intersections for us. The ride became tightly bunched and when I found myself at the tail end of the ride I rolled through several red lights right in front of them because I had the sense that they just wanted us to be on our way without any excessive hassle.
