WELCOME TO TACO TUESDAYS BICYCLE CLUB!!! WE MEET AT 7PM AT CRANK MOB PARK AND RIDE AT 8PM USUALLY TILL 12AM OR SO (DEPENDING ON THE F.U.N. LEVEL). THIS IS A SOCIAL RIDE THAT STARTS ON THE WESTSIDE AND GOES TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF LOS ANGELES USUALLY AROUND 2O MILES OR SO WITH A RELAXED PACE OF 10 TO 15 MPH. EVERYONE WHO LIKES, LOVES, OR CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THEIR BIKES IS WELCOME TO JOIN US, JUST BE SURE TO BRING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND ALL THE BIKING ESSENTIALS (EXTRA TUBE, FRONT AND REAR BIKE LIGHTS, MONEY FOR TACOS, ETC.) CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ON TUESDAYS!!!!!
Tonight is going to be insane F.U.N., DTLA, meet Skate and Destroy, SilverLake Hill, Pan Pacific, La Brea Tar Pits and Urban Lights!!! Need I say more, (yes I should but you know who might be reading this!!!)
So having left the ride at 1st & Main, we biked back on Venice, and shortly past Hoover, a car pulled over a block in front of us. The driver got out and held out a black plastic bag. As we slowed down to a crawl, he walked with us, saying,
"Hey! I want you guys to have this!"
"Really?" I said.
"Yeah! Give these to your friends for Christmas!"
I took the bag, and said, "Thank you!"
As we biked on, we opened the bag to reveal XL & XXL copies of a polyester collared shirt covered with full-color Pam Anderson bikini photos. (see attached) We waved at the driver as he passed by us.
You'll be seeing us wearing them on a future ride, 'natch.
No one got stabbed, but there was four of us that stayed and filed a report. They have the dudes license plate number, so if the car isn't stolen, then they'll be seeing him. Louis was pushed off his bike by that dude. So he's the one that they will stay in contact with.
I'm glad nothing worst happened. Shit like this can't be blown off and let go. Someone pulls a knife on us, it needs to be reported. It's the only way things will change.
Give props to the cops. They got there pretty quick and seemed genuinely concerned.
It was good to see the Taco Tuesday ride meet up with Skate and Destroy......however....
some constructive criticism....We need to as a group "LEAVE NO TRACE" for future rides to be under the radar and not lose spots to chill at in DTLA as well as other places...We picked up around 10 beers and about 5 water bottles left behind on the steps at 1st and Main... There was a trash can about 20 feet away on the corner.
we're sorry for the leaving of the messessszzz.. thank you for picking up after our trashy and disrespectful assesszzz.. we promise to clean up after ourselvessszzz next time.
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR MAKING TACO TUESDAYS AND CESAR'S SUPER SECRET SURPRISE "40"th BIRTHDAY PARTY THE GREATEST T.T. YET!!!
SEE YOU ALL NEXT WEEK FOR THE TACO TUESDAYS SEX MONTH ANNIVERSARY RIDE!!!
PS - PLEASE LEAVE NO TRACE, THANKS TO BRAD AGAIN FOR AFTERMATH CLEAN-UP AT 1st AND MAIN,
TACO TUESDAYS FOLLOWS ALL THE M.R. RULEZ OF THE RIDAZZ :) (OR AT LEAST TRYS OUR BEST)
PPS - EDDIE, THANKS FOR THE GREAT PICS!
PPPS - EDDIE, THANKS FOR THE BALLON CRITTERS!
Pablo and Maritza ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I came late to an empty start point, and almost giving up on the ride. They came through and brought me all the way to the main/1st street stop where I met up with all of you under the pretense that I had just happened by the stop. I was to embarrased to say I got lost on the Less side. lol
Thank you guys, pablo hit me up... I'll set you right with a Latina. La Raza hommie!
tag was extra fun too...can catch me though. that guy with "the knife" got back in his car asap when he saw the backup. We gotta be careful out here people!!!
Yea E, I think you are right, we need to keep watching the weather and maybe meet up for an "Unofficial Taco Tuesdays Ride". I might have a route in mind, but I am also open to suggestions!
That was so much fun. Bike path bridge shelter in the first storm with toilet paper fire and bridge climbing, second storm hanging out at the barbeque pits with roasted toilet paper fire marshmallows then smash in the downpour for tacos at cinco de mayo. WIN!
BEST TACO TUESDAY EV~VER! I even got to take a real mexican home with me.
@XL, Richard, Cesar:
the tacos were amazing. so much props to you guys for putting it all together. i had such a great time.
@the dude who brought marshmallows
brilliant. that's all i have to say
Anybody interested in doing a taco-potluck next week? everybody brings charcoal and a different carne? if people don't know how to make stuff, we can post simple recipes, or teach people to do the marinades on the spot.
DID EVERYONE MAKE IT BACK TO THE WESTSIDE/HOME OK LAST NIGHT? SORRY WE HAD AN EXTENDED NIGHT, BUT IT WAS WELL, WELL, WORTH IT!!! CESAR, LUIS, MATT, AND I WERE LAST TO ROLL OUT TO THE WESTSIDE AND DIDN'T SEE ANY TACOS ON THE WAY BACK, SOUND OFF
Not sure if Y'all missed TT cause you thought it would rain or cause y'all are out of town but either way EPIC FAIL. Tonight we made TT history and you missed it. WEAK SAUCE!

Janitor: Man, get your punk ass up. It ain't even wet over here. Damn.
I had a nightmare about Uncle Richard's fall....I just kept seeing blood comming out of his ear...ouch. Next ride I'll make sure to take marshmallows and a first-aid kit.
no, this is a chill social fun ride. we ride at a chill pace, and we have people at the back to make sure no one gets left behind. we have music, fire and barack obama spoke cards.
To hell with taco tuesday j/k .. We want to go over to the westside next time to meet.. Maybe you guys can show us the same courtesy we showed your ride last week..
Hey XL
dude ride was UBER fun...i am still hurting
but a few swollen limbs wont hold me down
never had been to MDR before it was AWESOME!
and everything else was fun too
i have to say this cuz it really bothers me...i dont like the to hell with taco tuesday name... ...it just doesnt play well in my book...but i still love you guies
BEST TREE CLIMBING EVER EVER EVER!!!! 8 people in 1 tree - yeah!!! OMG, Cesar's got the moves, thanks for the dance lessons, lol. And Eli, holy shit, you're not a man, you're a monkey!
It's an epic journey to Brentwood to take a pic in front of the notorious Nicole Brown / OJ Simpson house followed by one of the fastest downhills in the SM area, it's a sweet ride, you should definitely not miss this one.
Another good TT night. I can't wait to see that photo of the girl infront of O.J,'s house after the group photo. The bike path at night is an entirely different world, esp w/ cesar's music.
Did anyone else see Uncle Richard get into fisticuffs with that guy with all the shit in his mouth down by PCH? Or someone else? Apparently he cut RIchard off down the monstrous hill.
Yeah, the guy with the grill in his mouth. He kept poppin' wheelies and making sparks with his pedals all night. What the hell happened. This was the Taco Drama Tuesday ride.
@stilline - I think Mooncake meant to say was "Eastside Taco Tuesday Wussies AKA To Hell...with Taco Tuesdays" not all Eastsiders, Eastside rocks but THWTT had an epic fail not showing up last night. Drooby you suck, no spokecard for you!!!!
So I guess I must say "TO HELL WITH TO HELL... WITH TACO TUESDAYS!!!!"
DON'T THINK WE ARE GLORIFYING ANY SUCH THING, DON'T YOU KNOW THAT ON THE OJ RIDES WITH ARE FINALLY GETTING JUSTICE ON A SYSTEM THAT LETS SOMEONE BUY THEIR DUMBASS WAY OUT OF JAIL FOR WHATEVER CRIME THEY COMMIT
1ST OJ RIDE = OJ CONVICTED "FINALLY"
2ND OJ RIDE = OJ CONVICTED TO 20+YEARS IN JAIL
3RD OJ RIDE= ???? MAYBE HE WILL HAVE A NEW CELLMATE NAMED BUBBA SHOW HIM WHAT JAIL IS ALL ABOUT HA HA
IF YOU CAN'T LAUGH AT HOW FUCKED UP LIFE REALLY IS THEN YOU CAN'T LAUGH AT ALL.
ALWAYS TAKE YOUR GRAIN OF SALT WITH A SHOT OF TEQUILA!!!
It was my second taco tuesday ride....with that said, I stood back and looked at it from the perception of the neighbors....that double murder was a horrendous crime and it looked like you guys were celebrating. I didn't hear anything about oj this or oj that...just music blaring and a group photo....the neighbors didn't have a choice to have murders take place next door or across the street from their house.....then all of a sudden a group of cyclists come by like it's graceland....
that's it...no big deal....you corrected me about oj ride concept.
what's with all these poser rides? it's not the day of the week that's awesome, it's the XL, th' Cesar and the Richard. Tuesday is not a night that can handle competition.
@User1, don't really know yet, have a few ideas but will have to sort'em out tonight, Maybe DTLA, Maybe CLASSIC, Maybe something else....
Yea, no idea about the Haterz(please refer to photo) I know "TO HELL..." is more of a joke thang, but no idea about the Ramy Ride. Well we just gotta say "ob-la-de-bla-da......"
XL is MOM Ridda . Xl you know damn well the name of the ride "to hell with taco tuesday" is a joke.. We love TT but the thing about TT is it starts to fucking early for alot of us. So there are options for people who cant make it all the way to the westside and the name To hell with Taco tuesday seems appropiate @ the time. The name will eventually be changed..
yo if u guys decide to come to southbay let me know...
thats my home and i know it well. I was gonna skip taco tuesday tonight but i will come out and give you all a tour de grace
(work has me late a fucking gin)
Haven't been on a Taco Tuesday yet, but along with the Mosey, I see it as a fair way to balance out the ride levels during the work-week.
For awhile, it seemed that all the chill and/or party rides occurred only during the weekends, leaving high-speed, hammerfests for the mid-week.
Some people aren't able to enjoy the party-rides during the weekends due to work and such, so the formation of these rides makes it possible for them to get a taste of that flavor during their days off.
i MAY JSUT MAY***** be able to have THE BOX ready for you guys when you go to DTLA. I have a bunch of wood too that we can burn. XL, Stilline, whoever calls shots, hit me up!
THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! THE BOX! its that time of night between getting home and going to bed, where you can do nothing more than go to midnightridazz.com and say:
"that was a totally awesome ride."
and so it was. but what will come next in the unending saga that is Taco Tuesday? I forsee many things: a schoolbus, Uncle Richard setting himself on fire, franz getting naked against his will and a douchebag astride a beach cruiser.
THANKS TO ONE AND ALL LAST NIGHT, NICE TURN OUT FOR SUCH A COLD NIGHT. SORRY ABOUT THE CONSTANT LAPD ON OUR ASS AT EVERY STOP, NEXT WEEK IS CLASSIC SO WE CAN SHAKE'EM WITH OUR SECRET PATHS. SEE YOU NEXT TUESDAY IF NOT THIS WEEKEND AT THE SALTON SEA!!!
The cops must have spotted the campfire at the LA River. We normally don't get busted at that spot. Not sure why they were so freaked out about 1st and main either. They didn't seem to care when we had a giant pillow fight there last year.
Its a Mardi Gras celebration bring your beads and costumes if you got em. east side tacos and west side tacos join forces to present a taco ride the likes of whi
Mardi Gras (French for "Fat Tuesday" and also known as Carnival and Shrove Tuesday) is the last day before the beginning of Lent, a period of fasting and repentance leading up to Easter. Traditionally, it is the day for eating up the last of the rich foods that remain in the house and for having a big party before a long period of discipline and repentence.

Hey peeps, this is my first midnight ridazz event and was wondering if there will be a meet up around the silver lake area? :D if not then :( i haz tearz.
XL, what about DTLA folks who don't wanna ride west before riding east again? i heard a rumor about catching the 10:45 metro to pasadena from union station?
Hey XL, what about people who want to meet at cm park but not ride east to dtla but do want to ride to pasadena but wouldn't be caught dead in highland park but do want to be seen in west LA? An don't want to ride home? Can anything be done??!!
Fantastic ride, once again XL. My fav part was that funny lady on the subway who got up to read her book out loud because we wouldn't let her concentrate. Especially when she said, "I will cut you so deep you're gonna wish I didn't cut you so deep!" classic family guy quote!
I can't remember her name but that girl was from the gigsville camp at burning man last year. Shes knows rev dak and some of the other tren way people. Funny running into her on the subway like that.
@Limefly - come on out anytime, we would be honored
@MidnightSocial - Cool seeing you guys out and about, sorry we missed the 1am at Tacos Mexico, we were running a little late due to some mechanical issues. We made it there by 2am. And Yes let's do a joint (and I do mean joint) ride sometime soon. You guys rock!!!
HUGE THANK U'S TO ALL WHO HELP SUPPORT TACO TUESDAYS FUN.D RASIER BY DONATING $5 FOR THE SPECIAL SPOKE CARD!!! SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO BIKEROWAVE AND STEVEN MA FOR HOSTING SUCH A GREAT "FUNER" PARTY, GREAT TACOS AND ROOTBEER FLOATS!!!
+1000 TO EVERYONE
PS - WHERE'D EVERYONE GO AFTER THE MINI-PIER? WE HAD A GREAT TP FIRE AND PARTY AT THE MDR JETTY TILL 3AM. SEE YA NEXT TUESDAYS!!!
Rain won't come, we'll lite a sacrificial toilet paper roll on fire as part of anti rain ritual.
Btw, we should totally have a toilet paper roll on fire handling contest. that was hilarious last time, everyone trying to stack the well lit toilet paper rolls.
On the way to the jetty, riding in pitch black, something barked at me and another rider. We stopped, turned our light to the rocks and there was a baby seal! Everyone took photos, and went on, but then someone who stayed back realized it was hurt, or sick, or something, so called animal rescue service and had it saved! +5 to Erin for calling animal rescue.
Great Job to all the Newbies for hanging tough and making through the whole night :)
27 miles plus
Here is the route for TT#47 =

Corking is for big rides that can't stick together without it.
On medium sized rides like this one it just makes us look like a bunch of selfish assholes.
Especially when the person corking blocks the intersection for the riders he trying to help or stops very suddenly to cork a car that could have easily snuck past without incident.
It lets the slow people catch up and it makes us look less douchey to the LEO's
The assholes that think its their job to make sure we can run red lights are sadly never the ones who get the ticket for running it.
Its always the people at the back who get ticketed.... they would have been far happier if we had stopped at the light to let them catch up instead of runnign the light so they have to sprint through a red to keep up..
Next time you feel like corking just light yourself on fire instead.
DUE TO INCIDENTS LAST WEEK, WE WILL NOT BE POSTING THE ROUTE OR STOPS FOR THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. IT'S GONNA BE FOLLOW THE LEADER, WITH A SWEEPER TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WHO SHOULD BE THERE GETS THERE!!! SEE YA TONIGHT!!!!!
PS - I HEARD IT GONNA BE AN AWESOME ROUTE!!!

Last night was my first taco tuesday and it was soooo much fun. I normally hate hills but it was a nice challenge and the view was amazing from the Goonies run through that neighborhood.
Thanks Sara Bond for leading us and thanks Alex for making up the route.

XL I love the spokecards you create, they are always fun, clever and creative. Thank you for the time and effort you put into making them for us to enjoy, display on our bikes, and have as memories of the fun and good times we have together.
I missed last night since i was over at bikerobabes, but i am excited to go next tuesday!
I recently moved up to the LA area so am new to the bike community up here... yay
i love this ride. i am looking forward to next week. i love this ride. i can't wait. did i mention that i love this ride, because if i didn't, let me do that now:
thank you. last night was ultimate craziness of FUNNR. you celebrated the Birthday Boy's Say just right!
thank you for including me - riding with me - being there every week for all of us to ride together ---->>> and my shirt, i wore it to bed last night <<<---- thank you :)
the ride was cool specially the hidden bike trail........ my only complaint, Why do people see necessary to hijack the route? twice i was stuck with a group who followed someone who thought they knew where they where going, and we took wrong turns.
