For those that are coming from the east, west or south, you can use a little know passage to get to the MOCA. Across the street from the Library there's an escalator that will take you to the top! I'll try the street level google pic. This thing is hit and miss for me. Here goes....

Thanks to all that came out to this artwalk. A good time was had by all I hope. The place was packed with lots of buzz all around and seems like this event is starting to really get popular. Next month the Geffin will be open, so that should be a must do month too.
A little recap to the rest.... It's getting to be that you have to pick and choice where to go on this night. We saw a little bit of two different stages of comedians doing their stuff and some of them were quite good. This of course was all free. Just watching the comedians wouldn't be a bad idea if you're into all that joy and happiness.
It was hard to see all the galleries cause actually some of the works were pretty good. Lots of beautiful people tend to slow you down too. We had a chance to stop by and see Montana Joe and peek at his artwork. I got to admit it, his work was reasonably priced and not a bad bargain at all.
We ended the night about midnight at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel watching some Sci Fi flick by Andrei Tarkovsky called Solaris. Never been to this swank hotel even though passed by it numerous times. After the movie we tried to get up to the helicopter pad. I think we were close, but some food waiter guy ended up riding on a freight elevator once. At that point we figured it was just a matter of time till security showed up. So we decided to call it a night after that.
The movie series that went off last night is going again next Thursday. I think I'm going to it since it looks like it's being put on by some artsy folks from Cal Arts.

The shit rocked tonite! Great crowd and the art work at the non etablished places kicked ass! The place is primed for MRzz to rage. I'm bringing some kind of botta bag or something for the wine though. Fuck paying them 3 bucks for a glass of 2 buck chuck. Art openings was always about free flowing cheap wine. I'm bringing it back!
OH yeah, it also went pass 11pm. I'm sure there were spots that went later, just didn't go looking for them. Any ways the scene is looking very healthy.

I've been to a lot of Art Walks, but I've never seen THAT many cops there. Was it because of you MRz???
I saw a few bikes riding around, but not a big group.
I was thinking of riding myself, but I drove. I parked on ghetto Los Angeles St to save myself $5 parking and spent it on Kogi instead. :)

Yeah the cops weren't being dicks or anything, but they do keep the lid on the fun factor. :-( There's ways around that though. I bet not one of them knows what a bota bag is. And that's prefect for a group where you want to hide your boozing in plan site.
Did I mention that there was a good crowd tonite?

Actually, I think I meant...
On my first time, I had three of them...
But it's 1:19 am...I'm probably talking to myself.

I'm just going to use foam coffee cups from now on.

Maybe even rinse out Starbucks cups for an even better disguise.

Except the appeal of something related to donuts might draw their attention to me.

Those cops were harmless. I think they were there mostly to just keep the peace and not let things get too wild and crazy. I'm sure things would have been different if I was on my bicycle.
