Hello Everyone,
On Robots, Paul and I will be attempting to hook up a ghost bike in between us and ride around in honor of a good friend of mine who passed away earlier in the week. My dear friend Will Christianson, whom I met in New Jersey, was riding home at 2am Monday night and was hit by a car.
I am not able to attend the memorial in New Jersey, but I would like to film the ghost bike riding around Los Angeles and get the video to NJ in time for the service on Sunday at 1:15. That way I can at least let his family and friends know that people all the way on the other coast are thinking of him.
I'd like to ask that if you own a helmet, please wear it.

Having grown up in Culver City, last night's ride was truly special for me. I've loved the Eric Owen Moss building(s) from the outside, and was really great seeing it from on top of the parking structure. It was a lot of fun through Leimert Park, esp. in my "Stop the Drama - Vote Obama" shirt. The tornado of tin foil was truly inspired, as were all the chill people along for the ride.
I realized we were heading for LAX pretty early on, and though the prospect of a phalanx of cops was daunting, going around the horseshoe (esp. on the top level) was spectacular. Sorry to hear of some of our riders getting stopped by the coppers.

this ride was epic.. the pace was great.. the tin foil was all over everyone.. the hills were funner (lol).. LAX was the shit.. cork screw parking lot in the end was sweet.. and i have no hangover.. highly suggest riding that fast all the time.. when i got back to the beach the sun had come up from the east.. the way it should always be done.

We've been ruminating about posting the route. Problem is, some people want to go real fast, with the route in hand it becomes harder to keep the group together. What would you say to Text Message updates, maybe via Twitter, which would tell people where the next stop is?

I have a question though- do you think that if people were to start printing routes and suggested that people stay slow- because "the party isn't over there, it's over here!"? I'm sure some people obviously wouldn't care, because that's just people, but maybe it would make a difference? What do you guys think?

I would'a soooooo made this ride had I not gotten back to the Montebello area sooooooo late!!
I had to pull over in Ontario after my fuel-filter started choking up the injectors.
Replaced that, got rollin', and it was already 1300 by the time I got back.
At that point, it would've become more of a "Search and Destroy" mission from Montebello FOB, to the Venice, No-Fly Zone.
Aside from that, it sounded like a "Can'O'AssWhip", good-time!!!

The route was my favorite of any of the rides I've been on.
I'd like to do Brett's Mom too. That is, I did, until I had to turn to the Urban Dictionary to look up what that was. But if anyone else has a mom who is hot and lonely and looking for some male attention/nasty bedroom action, don't hesitate to introduce us.
