LA Critical Mass rides earlier this month, 6:30pm instead of 7:30pm. The People's Ride was designed for those who cannot make the earlier ride times. This ride is similar to Critical Mass in scope and ideology, but with more organization. A route will be determined and disseminated to the riders. Again this is a slower ride, not for messenger racers or speed demons, though they are encouraged to ride with us and cork intersections. The ride usually ends near the start point, close to a Metro Station or bus line.
che wouldn't approve this ride cause your breaking from the mass which trying to start early so they can cause traffic.. but your just getting riders to have a second ride now if they where thinking about missing lacm they will cause of you.......
che wouldn't approve of this ride go read his books cause i dont think you understand....
Che Guevara's life may be a testament to enduring struggle in the face of oppression, but his popularity is a testament to the enduring power of spiffy graphics.
Che was a murderer, his face ironically represents capitalism, he was a revolutionary, his ideas are outdated, he was an expert at the implementation and theory behind '50s and '60s style guerrilla warfare, and his politics are timeless yet at the same time do not offer an answer to our problems today.

I don't like rule 1 of The People's ride, "do not steal from the establishments on our rest stops. If you steal, don't show up for this ride."
From copyright to the CVC to whatever else, we do illegal things all the time, get over it.
Secondly, food should never be a commodity. We should organize rides to steal food and give it away.
I gave stolen food away tonight and it felt great.
As for Che, he would hate the ride.

but seriously, can we please stop putting che on everything ?
and i say we put Sartre's face instead. (he never made up his mind)
Che was fighting the US-backed dictator Batista in a war. How many people did Batista kill in his aim to suppress opposition to his years of authoritative rule?
Batista was the murderer and the US government was his partner.
Che was a Physician from Argentina who fought US imperialism and their puppet dictators who used mass murder, torture and imprisonment.
George Washington killed British, his own people, does that make him a murder?
It is hardly a surprise that during the armed struggle against Batista, and then after the triumphant entry into Havana, Guevara murdered or oversaw the executions in summary trials of scores of people—proven enemies, suspected enemies, and those who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Here is some history of the photo used.
Alberto Korda took the now famous picture of Che in 1960 at a funeral of those who perished in a French freighter in Havana harbor. He titled the photo, "Heroic Guerrilla".
Irish artist Jim Fitzpatrick took the photo and in 1967 created the stylized picture with the red background. Fitzpatrick admired Che and met him in Ireland, during one of Che's visits in 1962. In one conversation, Che revealed that his grandmother was Irish and his great-grandmother was from Galway, Ireland.
Interestingly, present at the same funeral where the famous picture of Che was taken, was the French philosopher, socialist Jean-Paul Sartre. He also was an admirer of Che.
tern - I thought we'd begun to move on to B-list of celebrity-thinkers. I was originally going to suggest Dudley Moore in place of Ringo, but he'll have to wait 'til we dig a little deeper into the barrel.
So what were we talking about again? Murderous iPhone pork-belly traders or something?

Yeah, I rape women and murder elderly people in cold blood all the time. And if any of you have a problem with that, just think about the last time you ran a red light. Yeah, that's right, you're a lawbreaker too, so I demand that you stop criticizing me.
Mikey!! Yo, holmes! You're juggling disciplines like a hot potato, man. Hahaha! Old school...sheesh. Is this some sort of teleological program you have going for us?
Look to the left at the coffee table. Come on.... Just do it. Now, you see that fat book you're about a chapter through? When you finish it, we should discuss it. lols
Thanks Dan for pulling the trailer.
For those who were concerned, Stillline was helping someone who broke a chain near Fairfax. He did not get lost nor did he get dragged into a leather bar in West Hollywood.
Jonnyboy will have a better quality video up in a couple of days.
Thankfully there were no fireworks, beer stealing from Rock and Roll Ralphs or stealing from riders. Good job everyone!
I'm tired of my life being ironic. I say we put Hitler's face on it. Let's bring Irony to it's fullest extreme so we can create a backlash and live free from it for at least another decade.
