Info on the non-ride

Hey kids, nows the time to get batteries for your bike killing robot! Join us this Saturday as we go to a monthly swap meet that has killer prices on robot juice!

Inevitably there's always a fluffa that's is going to point out the word "juice". The definition of this term is, a medium (as electricity or gasoline) that supplies power.

 I heard about this swap meet about 5 months ago and have been wanting to go. Someone told me about a lady vendor that announces the price for items placed on the blue tarp. She gets all worked up when you ask her the prices for the items. I think I'll go just to see if she really exists. I'm also interested to see what electronic components are available. Any slide rules?

 Got back from this about an hour or so ago. There wasn't that many vendors selling AA and AAA rechargeable, but I did find some nice AAA 1000mAh for $1.50 each. Got a new SLA battery for my UPS and a network storage device too.

What I noticed alot of today was camera stuff. Digital, SLR, and video was around alot. Anywhere from piled in a box, to laid out all pretty and asking over a grand. Of course there was alot of laptops too.

The economy is hitting the swapmeets too, cause I remember more vendors out there before.

Oh, and even though a few peeps said they were going to make it, I was out there on my lonesome. :-(

 User 1: I got there about 10 am. I had my kids with me. I saw some interesting stuff: theodolites, oscilloscopes, vacuum tubes, and some knobs (not the vendors).
