If at some time down the road, you and I meet, and you are all like Are you still riding bikes? And if I should say No, I implore you. Hit me over the head with something hard. Then, drag me to a bike shop unconscious, get me a bike (49-51", steel, fixed, 15/48 gear ratio, drops, front brake, Brooks Finesse Titanium), and charge it to whatever card you find in my wallet — call & check my limit if you need to. This is totally unethical. I give you permission.
Because the people I've met over the past year and a half, on rides and off, at film festivals, at alleycats, in bike shops, at Scoops, at Council of N, at Yaysayers, at Salton Sea, at BikeRoWave ... fuck, riders I've met at coffee shops ... you are truly incredible. And the only thing we have in common, really, is bikes. Which leads me to believe that this "only thing" is actually a very important thing, and it should be heeded. Should I lose sight of that for some reason, and I can't imagine I will, and I can't imagine I even can, seriously. HIt me with something. Because I will need it.
