We are having trouble looking for a spot to have the dance at after the ride. If ANYONE knows of a place, or even has a place they're willing to open up to us, please contact me ASAP. The ride just wouldn't be complete without dancing and spiked punch.

dancing does equal life; which means that not having a place to dance suxors as much as dying....if the whole a=b b=c a=c thing holds true...SOO!!
What's up with some places??? Speedybrian, do you have any locations in NorthHollywood that could accomodate a dance?? I never whent to coldstorage, does anyone know if it's still available? Westsiderrrz, can you offer some ideazz, locations etc.
I know some of the above locations are far...sort of, but I think it would be a great ride...rather than ride circles through LA, let's just have a destination (if need be)

we can always change up the start. the route won't be hard to come up with, we just need a location that is covered in case of rain, and since we will have a dj, and a photographer taking prom style photos for anyone that wants to get photos done.

There are several recently abandoned warehouse-type spaces on Exposition Blvd. between Washington & Venice in Culver City. The cops rarely patrol this street as it is fairly desolate at night. Boltcutters and a generator are all we need.

P.S. I have an idea for the dance at the end of the ride, but I have to make a couple of inquiries......what time are we talking about? How big should the place be?

the stretch Hatehills mentioned in Culver City is pretty much perfect, if you dont mind riding out that far, Riss? thats not all that far one way, but it might be too far to get freaky there then ride home. But the Swarm the Pier Ride was even further so i dunnnoooo....Either way I foresee that stretch getting used and abused!

I didn't even see that! It gets my vote. It's not too far....and if it is a little far for some people, we can find and print out bus routes / schedules / prices for people. The place I had in mind might require us to be too......legal. Boo.

I know what the inside of every building on that street looks like. Whoever's organizing this, I'd be down to meet up and suss out the best one.
All the attendees can claim ignorance to the legality of the venue if the cops do pop up. But the DJ (assuming he/she will have gear) might get stuck holding the bag?

How long is this ride? Will it end near the start?
I might bring a relative beginner if it's not too challenging.

it's 21 miles. ends at the start point. there are a few hills but nothing bad. i'm going to ride cleanup to make sure nobody gets left behind even if somone has to walk.
