Hello fellow ridazz,
i have started collecting for my tall bike and i am already four frames strong and i have all the wheels i will need for this baby.
now my question is going out to all you other Tall bike people, or simply, freak bike makers.
I want to build a three wheel tall bike two up front, for i like the idea of standing in place, i also want a storage compartment somewhere on this bad boy,
my question is How Does The Steiring work on the picture above and what do i need to make this work.
I hope to hear a reply for we need one more ridaa to be closer to the sky's.

the only issue I see with steering a bike like that is how limited you'll be to turning the front wheels, but that doesn't seem like something difficult to set up and adjust.
rrrr seeing this makes me want to be back building for my high school robotics team.

rack and pinion! or just simple rods to pivot.
You can't go fast around turns... you'll tip over. The wider the front the better.

youll be able to turn the wheels just as much as you could in a car with that set up and if you make it fixed you can always back up.

The possibilities with this rig!!!
Just the two empty stem mounts above the two front forks could be used for a 30mm and an IR-designator!!!

We could also mount pylons with hardpoints near the stem along the downtube.
Here, we could attach various ordnance ranging from simple bottlerockets, to tube-launched thermite rounds!!!!
Let us not forget that with a signal amplifier and a wireless mic, we could utilize the entire bike as a HAM/CB mount!!!
A dual-mission, vessel with strike and intelligence gathering capabilities!!!

Alot of the boys that build home-made recumbents seem to use when mounting their steering devices from the middle of the long-frame.
It's high time I invest in a welded that's good for the typical bike material, get out there and play "trial'n'error".

+1 Richie.
Think about doing a two wheeled version Popsicle.
Unless you're going to make it SERIOUSLY wide, the handling characteristics of a tall-trike are inherently sketchy, and you're likely to high-side it and that can be bad on a tall bike.
It does look pretty rad though!
Or, if you really want a trike, there's always the recumbent version -

I think you should build a 7 foot Penny Farthing bike, ha ha its safer

that steering system looks just like the one my ATV uses; consider changing the front wheels angle so the 12 oclock of the wheel sits closer to the center than the 6 oclock of the wheel, this will improve the turning handling slightly
