Kramer's a cyclist.

Well, not Kramer, but Michael Richards is.
You know the bike always hanging in the back of Jerry's apartment in Seinfeld? It was Michael's idea to put it there. Bicycling Magazine even interviewed Richards, which I found a transcription of
here. He rode his bicycle to the studio for rehearsals after his car got stolen.
Call him a racist, but hey, he was a cyclist first.

I always wondered what the point of even having it there was.
Seemed like everyone either took a cab or walked everywhere in the show.
And the postmaster at the Victorville post office looks just like Newman!!!

The bike actually was put to use in 2 episodes..
Kramer rode it around Jerry's living room once and one of Jerry's girlfriends worked on it (while nude) in another episode.

Also, you can tell Specialized gave up some $$ to Seinfeld because in outside scenes they are always standing in front of a bike shop that deals solely Specialized bicycles.
At one point, the green Klein was stolen off of the set. They replaced it with the blue bike which, if my memory serves me correctly, was a cannondale. They put the Klein back afterwards (probably pissed off Klein).
Klein also sent a free bicycle to Jerry, which perturbed Michael because Jerry didn't ride and it was Michael's idea to put the bike there.
I watch too many Seinfeld DVDs. And that's a fact.

I can honestly say I never watched one episode of Seinfeld. Not even part of one. Just never appealed to me.

I grew up watching Seinfeld, having never been to New York. Then I went to New York...the episodes were
definitely funnier after that trip.
