I won't be driving, but if you are LAPD has announced the locations (they must do this by law now) of their sobriety checkpoints this Memorial Day Weekend.

 This is the immature side of me replying....but hypothetically, if you/we rode past the check points swerving, or no handed, or just being a jackass in general, would they be obligated to check us? If the laws are the same for riding a bike....what do you think?

 We actually did ride through one once! I can't remember the ride though...
The cops were smiling and waving, it was all good.

 Just talk to a friend who works at a city yard.

IT is at FAIRFAX AND VENICE

he said they are setting up a processing center for a dui checkpoint there

must be a checkpoint right in the area.

This is right off the i-10 fairfax exit.

 i saw a checkpoint last night at washington and fig. I rode by asking if they need to see my licence. Cop just told me to keep riding.

 we rode through a check point on the winter solstice ride. they asked me if i'd be drinking. I was able to honstly answer no. fortunately they didn't inquire about the smokey smoke.
