Wow, I know you guys might have felt like you didn't perform at your peak or got swept away with everything else that was going on, but it certainly looks like an impact was made.
My compliments again and let's keep up the work; the battle won't end soon.

i'm overwhelmed with joy! thanks again to everyone who attended, LACBC, and the ladies that basically forced me to speak.

This is great news and we may have made a difference after all. I must admit, it sure seemed like our cause was a teenie tiny issue compared to all those union members there yesterday. I was more intimated by them than speaking in front of the counsel members.
Anyways yeah, we learned from this and next time we'll be even more formidable.

i'm very glad that i wrote down my entire speech, and i still stammered it. i've done a bit of public speaking in the past, but it is nerve-racking to do so in a room full of powerful people AND workers who are fighting to keep their jobs. It's NOT the case, but our arguments FEEL trite when you compare them to firefighters and other people who keep this city running arguing for their livelihoods.
that being said, it's very gratifying to see such a direct result like this.
