Heyy,
Im giving a persuasive speech in class to convince people to get off their behindds and ride a bike more often. I think a few testimonials about how cycling has improved your life would make the speech much more credible and persuasive. Plus I'd love to hear your stories..
Whether it be weight you've lost, stress relief or a personal one for myself, arriving places on time more often than i could ever in a car.. Anything goes..
Thanks

I met my [future] wife on Midnight Ridazz.
Is that compelling and/or persuasive enough?

You consistently have some of the most ignorant, childish comments on this forum. Congratulations?

Its called parody, sarcasm and irony.
If you ever see me at rides I'm the guy that asks everyone to ride on the rights side of the lane, let cars through, and stop at lights.
suck it.

Aksendz, you irritate the living shit out of me and a few others around here. Your jokes are always off base, and your comments are usually negative with a hint of self righteousness/arrogance.
Process your thoughts before you spit them out as fast as you can possibly do so without hurting yourself.

You get to interact with your surrounds while traveling instead of being isolated by walls and windows.

It's true. L.A. is a very different when you're immersed in it, and not just viewing it from the freeway. When I moved here from Canada, it seemed like such a giant cold and impersonal mass of a city... and I hated it. Once I started riding, it became something to discover... and something I was part of, not just observing. I love it, and I don't want to leave.

it's like singing "your body is a wonderland" to the sights, sounds, and smells of your surroundings. it's like marvin gaye serenading mother earth. it's like this scene in "rock-a-doodle" where the kid is pronounced dead but then lights shoot out from his fingertips and toes and he's alive again. it's like running your moisturized lips slowly over every inch of every pore and crevice of los angeles. it's like the skinny dipping and it's like being in a mosh pit. it's appreciating the filth and treasures of humanity. it's like feeling the world from the inside. it brings you closer to god.
super un-poetic, but you (hopefully) get the gist.

It is better than any tourist sightseeing trip you'll ever go on. You will visit spots you had no idea where there all along just waiting to be found and experienced.
The wonderful array of people on the rides, ranging from every age group imaginable, is also to be admired. And the whole time you can feel the child-like atmosphere as it engulfs you and then spits you back out at the end of the ride. It's rejuvenating to say the least.
Every night is a different night, with a different route, a different spoke card and different people. The differences are everywhere that you can't help but focus on the innate similarities.
God, I love these rides.
