Tonights Goldsprints was very cool and something I never would have dreamed of having in my shop a few months ago. Do a show anytime! We should have a goldsprints series around LA, with a finals in the parking lot of Pioneer Chicken on Echo Park and Sunset.

Maybe it was the fastest times taken from the finals to determine the winners?
RBI didn't you get your fastest time on your first or second round? Your third you went back to back with your 2nd round race, which made your final round time jump up considerably after two sub-20second times in rounds 1 & 2. Everyone else had a chance to catch their breath before the finals round.
Yeti, RBI- what time did you get in the finals? Maybe they will post all of the results from last night?

It would be nice if they explained how they got their results at the beginning of a race. I didn't mind not placing since I obviously wasn't the fastest and the only reason I won all 3 races was lucky pairings. It would be nice to see how I did though and not to difficult to run a spreadsheet concurrently with the sprint software.
I actually did a lot of research into getting goldsprint equipment a year ago but as with most things I had no capital. It's nice to see it come to LA.

I forget who it was that told me, but apparently they are looking at making goldsprints a weekly thing at LA Brakeless.

Yeah, with all due to respect to the LB folks (because that was a lot of fun), they really didn't organize the bracketing all that well. I mean, the two fastest racers from the qualifying round should not race each other in the next round. They should be paired with the two slowest racers from the qualifier.
And to switch to single elimination racing for the second round and then have the third round be by time again -- it makes no sense, if for no other reason than a sense of drama. There should be a one-on-one final match, winner take all.
Whatever. We know who won and we know who was fastest. Being able to maintain/gain speed over the night is a skill as well and that is what Lane did. Props.

Plus to add to that, yes this is rare comment coming from me, But i will give some extra props to RBI for racing a race a few seconds before that race, so he was a bit tired. Its like the old NoHo sprints ( RIP ) when one of us would have to race like 3 times in a row.
