 I met a chick that was involved in MRSF. Her name is Liz. She said that the MR scene there is predominately driven by messengers.

Do you suppose that has anything to do with the topography? I mean, LA is flat enough that you can go out on your very first MR ride, pedal 15 miles and your legs will live to tell the tale. But SF is just one big hill.

 SF has frequent steep climbs, but surprisingly you can navigate much of the city with fairly gradual terrain. My first SFCM recently, the route went all over the place and was really pretty flat. Who ever was leading the way sure knew how to avoid the hills.

 I've been trying to get ridazz together for evening rides. So far it's all been smug. I've been doing evening bar hopping rides with another friend from LA, who just moved here. I am SO down to get the SF crew rollin.

I"m comin' up in early July and we're gonna have 2 rides per day for 1 week straight. We're gonna ride to Berkely, Oakland, San Brun', Milpitas, Marin, Larkspur (ferry assisted), Sausalito......and you're gonna be drunk, tellin people how it is!!

 Another location besides Oakland or Berkely could be over in the Silicon valley like San mateo, Foster city and San Carlos. I ride through here all the time and the hills are comparable to L.A. if not flatter. The City would be brutal unless it was a one way ride down hill, mapped out really well or just along the coast!
