This has been blown out of proportion quite heinously! So please hear me out...
After realizing the fact that we had no chance of winning the BR film contest, despite the fact that we name dropped a major television studio for letting us borrow their prosumer grade camcorder, terrible hard cuts in audio, and grotesque continuity errors... we have decided to make amends.
The crew and I worked tirelessly to re-edit the film to truly depict our knowledge and understanding of the Midnight Ridazz. To those in charge and all the other bleeding hearts, we apologize.

a big problem was just that you depicted us as a group that's not accepting of others. that spreads a bad image that is the opposite of what we are about. but otherwise, you didn't do much wrong.
I'm sorry Midnight Ridazz has a bunch of whiney babies. They just want to attack The Man any way they can if they feel they are misrepresented. Most of the probably have no idea what kind of effort it takes to put a production together. I hope you don't take all this negative flak personally. It is the corporate advertising aspect that's got these guys all rilled up. The video was really good cinamatographic sense. Good luck with all of your future endeavors.

ummmm, i doubt he is submitting the remake. but submitting a version which was dubbed by others would be pretty much the same as submitting photos that are not yours. But he isnt going to do so... it was a joke...

You know original intention of copyright laws, in the age of the printing press, was to encourage the diversity of works, not restrict them. It makes sense for printed material because of the economy of scale. Copyright has just become absurd. Keep in mind this is a totally different issue to trademark law.
It makes sense to have copyright restriction when there are physical restrictions such as a printing press. It is expensive to setup a press, the more you print the less expensive each copy can be to offset the setup costs. So it makes sense to grant a printer exclusive copying rights for a period of time, rarely exceeding 14 years. It would become too costly, and would not benefit from the less expensive copies, to have multiple presses printing the same or similar works at the same time because of the limits of the press.

Copyright law kept the cost per copy down, so that more people would have access to the works, increasing literacy and awareness, which is good for both the author and everyone. Thus those people can use things they have learned from the works and parts of those works in their own work later in their lifetime.
He got rid of half of the corny dialog and removed references to Midnight Ridazz.
No more "can I ride with you guys?"
He also added credits for all his crew, which is nice cause all these people worked for free.
I still have the original version.
It will be made available only at special events to a select list of elite ridazz.
