Swedish rapper in rented SUV started rolling into crosswalk, pedestrian put hands on vehicle to alert him, and then he got out and punched the pedestrian in the face and when he tried to pick up his glasses he kicked him in the head and left him on the street. Then an off duty copy came to try and apprehend him, and he sped off while running over the pedestrian in the process.
This is total crap and I hope he is brought to justice. Pedestrian rights and cyclists rights are closely intertwined as is our need for justice against aggro drivers, so I thought people here might want to know about this.

this motherphucker should be tied to a pole at the summit of a downhill slope. we should tie each of his limbs to a bike and with long ropes on each each bicyclist. weighing 150 or more we should descend down the down hill slope and "quarter" his ass. bomb down that hill and make certain you tear each of this fucking limbs, all four riders must succeed in doing so. then the torso and head of this fuck can bleed to death for all to see!!!! that or this motherpucker should get a long, a very long sentence and a shitload of buthole rape in the showers of a state penentary!!!

It's a long ways away, but just tossing it out there that ever since this years day of the dead at Hollywood forever, I've been thinking about organizing a massive display bringing together cyclists, drivers and pedestrians to display in a visual compelling way, just how many people die on our roads in America. There was a massive display of soldiers who died in the Iraq war with a post it note for each causality, but the number who die on the streets from cars dwarfs that many times over several times a year.
If anyone might be interested in helping with such a project, let me know, and maybe I can get a e-mail list going.

I've always hoped that ridazz day of the dead could have us visiting alters made on behalf of fallen ridazz and peds.
it is a long way away ... but i definitely think we need to shine a light on those who have given their lives on the road.
Safety ride 2 was pretty awesome.
But I did bum out a little on that ride when somebody in a car asked some kid "what's this for?" and he responded:
"We just party and get drunk and ride our bikes ... yeah!"
