UPDATE:
First of all I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for their thoughts, well wishing and to those who've managed to take time out of their busy schedules to make it out to the hospital!! It sincerely means a lot ot me!!!
Yesteray I took myself off the medication and after getting some massage therapy I fugured I'd be able to convalesce at home. I took 1 lap around the ward with a walker last night and the pain was excruiciating. My right leg is weak and I have severe cramping. The doctors say I have Lumbar Spinal Stenosis with although it is not cronic is causing the problems with the leg, however, the surgeon thinks surgery is a bit premature considerinng my health - good and fairly fit. If I check out I'll post here.
Once again thankyou, Harry xx
To get out of the hospital i need to find a way to manage the pain and start exercising but I think I may be stuck in the hospital for a few more days.
So if you are bored and can't find anything to do feel free to drop by I'm in room 567 (south tower) at St. Joseph's on Buena Vista Burbank.

Harry,
The ride wasn't the same without you. I wonder if they'd let you out for an evening so we could tote you around in a car and then bring you back a few hours later?

Why not? It looks like beer, even if it's a little warm.

TO: MIDNIGHTRIDAZZ SAturday July 19th: 9.30 pm St. Joe's
Thanks to all the wishes of support, here and via phone and text etc.
Incase you hadn't heard I went in for back surgery after 2 weeks of back and forth with doctors here in St. Joseph's. It's been a long haul but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. They removed part of a protruding disc around L4 region which was causing shooting pain in my right leg. The surgery seems successful, the pain is gone but I still have a throbbing pain emminating from my knee apparently Bursitis. I hope to get out of here by monday and start rehabing at home in Studio City then.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by at all hours at St. Joseph's you are all true friends and very much appreciated!!!!
I cannot wait to get back on my bike which the doctors said should not be a problem soon but no MTB for a while!!!
Once again THANK YOU!!!!

HARRY!!! I'm so glad to hear that there is actually a step forward in your situation! I've been going through withdrawal from the lack of English Accent in my life. On top of that, not enough people say "cunt".... SO get better and get on a bike before i have to take dramatic measures to get you mobile, (whether still in bed or not)

Yay Harry! I hope you're right about being able to get out of there tomorrow.
And yeah, by the time RBI was free to leave the ER we were kind of in a hurry to just get home and shower, get him some gatorade, etc. So we didn't try and find you. Also, I'm a big idiot and forgot to bring his shoes to the hospital... so he had to hobble around barefoot like a true hippie.
Anyway, if you need anything at all, just call... i'm literally a few blocks down the street. Much <3!

I just found out my insurance might only be paying for 5 days of hospital stay and no body alerted me to this fact. I shudder to think what the bill is going to be but fuck it .....one thing at a time. My right knee is still a big problem and they still have to give me the heavy stuff in order to sleep. I'll have an update later todaay after talking to the orthopeadic doctor.
I just wanna go ride a bike and fly a plane!!!!!!! :::(((((((
Where's Riginald Perrin???

Harry, Once the surgery starts to heal, should you hopefully have a reduction in pain, etc. in your knee? Or is that a separate situation?
And maybe if Mr. Borfo can't visit today, maybe TW could come by tomorrow and we could bring the DVDs at that time.

I was talking to Harry the other day and he's doing better. He's well enough to start walking, but the doctors aren't giving him the green light to start riding. I mentioned to him about walking and taking stairs, and he said that's not a problem, the doctors will give him a green light for that. I mentioned that I was interested in starting some stairway walks and he was really stoked about doing this. I guess he's going crazy and misses you guys! Looks like it's going to be awhile before he's on a bike do to the possibility of crashing.
Anyways, I was thinking about doing a stairway walk in LA, see
this link for details. I'm thinking next week, September 6 or 7, which is Saturday or Sunday respectively. Anyone has a preference and wants to do this too?

Bananaphone, Yo Delicious and i had lunch with Sir Harry today. He looks really great but physically, he's not quite there yet. He is improving but still thinks he's a couple of weeks away from getting back to work. But he's up on 2 feet and walking almost normally now.
He said he isn't checking the boards here very often because it depresses him that he can't be actively involved right now. He misses us soo much.
