The KTLA site has a stupid pole asking how you get to work. Go tell them how you get to work. It would be neat to see this pole totally lopslided.

How many wanna bet that the majority of those driving are under the misconception that driving around aimlessly for hours is work?

As of now, after I took the poll, these are the results:
I drive myself: 46%
I carpool: 3%
I take public transportation: 3%
I walk: 5%
I ride a bicycle: 30%
I don't work: 13%.
I'm surprised more people don't carpool.
More people walk than take public transportation.
13% of respondents don't work! I guess that category includes unemployed people, stay-at-home parents, & retired people.
... Aaaannndd we totally threw the numbers. Go us! Keep it going!

If you have a cell that can go on the web, that poll is mobile friendly too. SO you can vote twice. one by comp one by phone.

I like the note at the bottom: "Results not scientific" REALLY?
We're down to about 25% - but that's still about 12 times the statistical reality. If nothing else it shows we care enough to take a dumb poll.

i can't believe only 13 percent don't work.
i have a feeling that number might be higher in the bike community.

I lied and marked the "I bike to work" button.
I don't have a job, but I have cycled to work for the last 23 years.
Better for the poll results.
IF I had a job, I'd be biking...oh, yeah!

okay there's a science to providing not scientific results...
pretty easy.
1 - set the home page of your browser to "http://www.ktla.com/news/poll/" and quit.
3 - relaunch the browser.
4 - vote.
5 - quit the browser (hot keys work faster).
repeat steps 3 to 5 indefinitely
i clicked in about 400 votes in an hour and i probably could've done it faster if i wasn't working right now.

If we win by too much they're going to know something is fishy. Let's make it look a bit legit?
Funny though!

anyway, i think we're beyond the point of something looking fishy now. may as well run with it.
like Rollers said, 25% is still about 12 times the statistical reality.

I marked "I ride a bicycle," and to make it true, I got on my bicycle and rode to my desk, on the other side of the room from my bed. That was refreshing. I'm going to have to start biking to work more often.
We're up to 56.3%!

Nice! Wish it really was 47.5% to 34.8% cars! It feel like utopia here. Not to mention the air would be alot cleaner.
