Anyone know where to get international SIM cards here in LA? I procrastinated and now it's too late to get one shipped to me (long weekend, and I leave Wednesday). Thx

I believe it's cheap to get wherever you're going.
Where're you goin'.

Switzerland. (Bad Bonn Kilbi festival!)
I was kind of hoping to take care of it before I leave so that I could give the number to my friends over there before I arrive. Hmm.

OK, I found a place in LA that is pretty much an online outfit but they'll do a same-day will call at their warehouse...for a $10 upcharge. (*eyeroll*)
So I'm still putting the call out for a place in LA with a regular storefront that sells Swiss SIM cards. Come on, you sophisticated cosmopolitan hipsters, help a brother out.

mobile phone stores are a dime a dozen in western european countries. Stop into the first one you see and buy a pre-paid SIM. Then call your friends.

If you're going to switzerland, you should just get a pre-paid phone.
I use www.callineurope.com to get my euro sim card. It's basically a simcard on the vodafone network but It's super chill and I use it frequently whenever I'm in Europe (I'll be in Berlin this wednesday).
Make sure your phone is unlocked though. If not, just get a pre-paid phone at Switzerland. have fun.

Polish Catholic, you have thus far failed to create a metaphor that makes sense.
