Femicide is the systematic killing of women because of several reasons but mainly because they are women. We invite you to ride with us and raise awareness about this in our community.

There's tons of info on femicide... and books on it too if you're interested. Oh, and there's a movie called "Bordertown" with J-Lo & Antonio Banderas. I know, how good would that movie be, right? It's actually a pretty decent flick...it really gets the point across that this epidemic is real and it needs to stop.
During our ride on Sunday, November 2, we are asking for clothing (men, women, children) and office supply (paper and pens specifically) donations for two shelters we are assisting. The first is Casa Amiga, which is the ONLY women's shelter in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico...and it is 1 of 6 of its' kind in Mexico. And the other shelter we're assisting is the East Los Angeles Women's Center.

Our focus, however, is to help raise awareness about this act of violence against women in and to help Casa Amiga & the East Los Angeles Women's Center keep their doors open so they can keep enpowering women.
Join us and end the silence. Join us to raise awareness about femicide. Join us to honor those who lost their lives to femicide. Join us to support the victims' families. Let your voice be heard. Join us on Sunday, November 2 at 5pm at SITE LA for our 1st Annual Ride & Candlelight Vigil.

with people like Esther there is hope, I mean just today I heard soldiers fired upon a car with people in it killing a 4 month pregnant woman. They were coming up on a roadblock wanting help.
