"The Roll 2 will cost $800 and the slightly lower-end Roll 1 will go for $600, which isn’t bad. Both will go official as part of the full Globe brand rollout on June 28th, when you’ll also see the more pedestrian city bikes in the range."
Can someone explain to me how a $600-$800 fixed gear bike is "cheap"?
Cheap is the Dawes off e-bay for $249, or the Windsor Hour from bikesdirect for $299.

I guess it's white so that it's paintable? I dong know. I'm guesing MSRP makes the bike more like $500 to 700 in a sale range? But yeah still not cheap. Cheap for who?! I think they missed their price point. I'm sure with that crankset it's the $800 one...

It's going to be GLOBE brand? It apparently has some weird touches. Like a keyed washer in the front hub ? ?

Actionbent.com has underseat-steer recumbents for $800, and they come with a rear-rack and nice, comfy seats.

I want that bar/stem combo, especially if it's cheapo chinese OEM. Recessed grips, whoo hoo!
