PUMPS

what do you people recommend as a good pump to carry on rides?
I have one but it crapped out on me and it's presta adapter(who knew it was a modular pump, it didn't even say on the package) fell out while I was riding home.
something with a barometer would be preferable.

Topeak was way cool with me. I emailed them and told them my foot pad somehow fell off my pump. They asked me what model it was and sent me a replacement. Free of charge.

You can't go wrong w/ this pump.... other than the foot thing falling off which Topeak will replace... this is one of the best out there... and comes w/ a gauge! You can pump to 120psi really fast..

Yeah Al. When you email them, play it up a little. Don't say you had it for a year or two. Tell them you had if for a month or two. Tell them your friends have one and that's why you got one. Etc, etc, etc, you know the game, yeah?

I love my topeak pump. It's got a hose, foot stand and pressure gauge. I had a problem with the head, called Topeak and they sent me a new one. It costs more but really worth it. Check Performance to see if they have them on sale.

So I couldn't find a direct email but I went to the topeak website and went to the "service and tech" section ~~~> created an acct ~~~> cust support and created a ticket. Did you do the whole creating a ticket thing or was it a direct email thing?
I praised the product and said I had it for a couple months and so on and so on. Let's see if they answer.

From what I've seen, there are only a few bike accessories that have such a large consensus attesting to quality and functionality.
They are:
pump: topeak morph (aside from the foot thingy. Mine came off, too.)
rear light: Planet Bike Superflash
front light: night rider minewt or minewt X2

Yes do the setting up the account and a ticket thing. Sounds like I might take mine apart and put some loctite on the threads.
