Mine was the Hello Kitty ride that never ended up happening. :( It'll happen next summer when I'm back in LA for sure! I've just been really low on funds.

How are you able to tell which thread was my first?

LOVE this idea!
My very very first thread was:
Pillage People, on August, 12, 2006:
It was my brief wrap-up on the infamous "Take No Prisoners" Ride (of 1,000 flats!), in which I had the fine fortune to be the only one with a socket wrench that fit the beater actress Daryl Hannah was riding that night and thus was able to be her hero in changing out her punctured rear tire. Later on, we rolled together past the landmark Bradbury Building on Broadway and I had this moment of reality/fantasy wowness realizing I was biking with her past the very building she tried to kill Decker in in "Blade Runner."

it used to be posted and i can't remember what it was called or how to find it... but it was that guy's hilarious post about how to deal with non-bikers. ring a bell anyone?
And the reply (still great)

My first thread was to organize
a ride to go see the movie "Metropolis" at the Arclight.
It was a total failure. Mostly westsidazz confirmed to go, but then a bunch of us went to SMCM the Friday before despite a torrential downpour (I rode ten miles from work, just to get to the start point ... I was drenched before the ride even started). We all got wretchedly ill. I couldn't leave my bed for days. I eventually rented "Metropolis," but it would have been awesome to see it for the first time on the big screen.
Meanwhile, at that sopping-wet SMCM, we rode something goofy like two miles before stopping at the Cock & Bull & drinking our faces off. But we kept the ride in Santa Monica!
