I'm in the mood to celebrate girls on bikes. Why? Well....why the fuck not?!
If you have a vagina, or if you know someone who has a vagina, then this ride's for you! We're going to have spoke card art by THIS INCREDIBLE LADY, and a soundtrack full of chick bands and chick-fronted bands, with special dance-party soundtracks for the stops.
And, we're going to dress like ladies. What the hell does that mean? I don't know - you show me. Get creative - I want to see your abstract gender theory in costume form.

Rev. Dak reminded me after I posted that picture that those caps are lovingly known as "Cunt Caps" in the Army...and suddenly the moniker Cunt Cap Katie sprung to mind.

@HappyLand The ride is a little ways off, but you know how long it takes to buff and puff and paint and scrape and spray and squeeze in the quest of a ladylike appearance. I wanted to make sure people have enough time to shave and pluck and depilate and moisturize and scrub and curl and rat and sweep and pin.
It's true! Gosh, I have to make my appointments to zap all my body hair off! And get a facial and a mani-pedi and buy a new outfit and some new shoes and a handbag to match. Oh, and a giant unwieldy pink beach cruiser with a basket in front with a little dog in it so I can ride around on the sidewalk. And of course I am not going to wear a helmet because I don't want helmet hair!!! Fruity cocktails here I come because I don't drink BEER!

This Saturday morning I did an awesome 40 mile ride with the lovelies Johanna & Meghan.. and we were just saying how awesome it was and how we should train together more often.
START AND ENDING LOCATION: Lincoln Park. FIND THE CLIT. Meet whenever the fuck you feel like getting there, but I'll probably get there at 9 p.m. Ride at 10p.m.
Dude... Im sitting in my office at work and I open MR .... walk away from my office and come back to the echoing ... "Smells like Vagina".... I'm lucky I work on the chill side and not where all the partners are .....
While listening to some damned fine Charles Mingus (Better Git It In Your Soul) with my laptop connected to my speakers for the big, big sound, I opened up the link to this ride, what with the audio clip & all, & it was an incredibly surreal experience. Somehow, it worked.
@MaryZeiser She's the very first song on the playlist! It's pretty sweet, if I do say so myself - the "It smells like vagina" mp3 starts the playlist, while we're all pulling out of lincoln park hitting the street and then BAM! I Love Rock 'n Roll starts, and we're off. Good shit.
I have 4 hours of playlist for the ride, and three different playlist for stops (even though we only have two stops) of danceable music. And even with all that I couldn't fit everything on that I wanted!!

Just so everyone gets to the right place - THE CLIT in LINCOLN PARK is an upside down horseshoe-shaped sculpture in the park, on the Mission Rd. side of the park. That's where the ride will start and end.
ROUTE INFO:
Nearly 20 miles, flat. 2 stops. NO LIQUOR STORE STOPS, so stock up BEFORE the ride if you want stuff.
The last leg should be fairly familiar to everybody, so if it's late people can peel off as necessary. Anyone who wants to stick around and dance party in the park afterwards is more than welcome.
@secretragingcow Wowza. I'm overwhelmed. There are a few I don't understand - perhaps you could provide some clarification on Ninja Boot and Mumbler? A specific explication would be appreciated.
For those of you who were at Clitfest, she was there - I'm not sure if she was there in her visual artist capacity or with her band, Homewreckers (who is on my playlist, of course).
There is a westside to MR ride posted, and most westsidazz head back together. Just talk to some of us at the ride out and we'll be sure to grab you when we head back. Easy peasy.

@ TO EVERYBOD, THIS IS FUCKING IMPORTANT - There will be focused DUI enforcement around the fashion district tonight, and the ride rolls through south downtown on its way back to Lincoln Park. I'm not sure if we're rolling through the area they intend to saturate, but we'll be close, for sure.
Ride safe, watch out for cops, DO NOTHING TO TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO US, if at all possible. Different people have different philosophies, but tonight I ask that people keep the cops away and that we police our own. Communication with one another is key.
Here is part of the LAist article on the police DUI enforcement throughout LA tonight:
"...Also, there will be a saturation patrol in the Newton Division, which covers the southern parts of downtown (Fashion District, Pueblo Del Rio, South Park-Entertainment).
